Better than watching Pistons only to see Garnett get hurt (though they are up 8 on the Celts).

I love San Antonio. I was hoping Michigan would make the Alamo Bowl just so I could go there, then I learned the Big Ten was no longer affiliated with the Alamo Bowl, and I cried a little inside.

Horrible B12 bias refs. But man, not many places with as much fun in a centralized place (whether history, family fun, or nightlife). Particularly when you can walk from the hotels to the game. By far the best crappy bowl in my book.

On the field results weren't so hot in that bowl game..

It was in one of Cracked.com's many, many comic book articles, I don't remember which one. Check them out sometime if you dig comic books, they have some pretty hilarious stuff over there.

To the game against A&M, which I don't recall being the refs fault, thanks for your feedback though.

should consider that as market of their marketing campaign. A refreshingly honest tagline: "The Alamo Bowl: by far the best crappy bowl!"

That's TM.

The city is great, food awesome and the hill country in the north is beautiful.

in Blanco and of course the Salt Lick in Driftwood. Not so much good barbecue in San Antonio, though, strangely. I lived in San Antonio for a year and while there's lots of good food, I never had good barbecue there.

I remember when it was the Builders' Square Alamo Bowl. Those were the days.
December 29th, 2010 at 9:58 PM ^
I totally forgot they existed! My dad always called it "Builders Dispair" because they almost never had anything he needed. Ah, memories.

could be the bizarro-world, OKIE-State version of Lloyd Brady. Or is it blasphemy even to suggest such a thing?
December 30th, 2010 at 11:12 AM ^
It is our job to find them all in the hundreds of DI, DII, DII schools.
So let's see . . . so far we're up to, um, 2.
December 30th, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
is attractive. Those Okie 'girls' are, um, yeah. Hey look over there.......
December 29th, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
When will we know who is not eligible for the bowl game due to academics? Also went to the Alamo bowl a few years back, it was a blast (besides we lost to f-ing Nebraska)!!
December 29th, 2010 at 9:48 PM ^
OSU up 14-0 quick. Yeesh.
December 29th, 2010 at 9:49 PM ^
Doesn't look this game will be much better than the last. This may get real ugly.
December 29th, 2010 at 9:55 PM ^
It may just be a bad day for football. Though Arizona is threatening.
December 29th, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
Okie State's mascot is like something out of my nightmares.

Child molester ever.
December 29th, 2010 at 9:59 PM ^
Did you see Baylor's mascot?
December 29th, 2010 at 10:04 PM ^
Except they were the ones getting molested today.

I've trianed my kids to run like hell whenever they see a dude in a 100 gallon orange hat, brandishing a shot gun.

I am glad that Michigan doesn't have anything like that. I wonder what it would be like to root for a team that has mediocre history and traditions?
December 29th, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
That's right, give poppa his 32 confidence points. A Ricky Six from the Arizona QB!
December 29th, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
Six. (Foles' version of the Rick Six.)
December 29th, 2010 at 10:22 PM ^
At least I picked this one.
December 29th, 2010 at 10:27 PM ^
Uh-oh looks like someone has a case of the dropsies.
December 29th, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
How many balls is Arizona going to drop in this game? On offense and defense.
December 29th, 2010 at 10:31 PM ^
I'd hope they'd all have dropped by now. They are all at least 18 years old.
December 29th, 2010 at 10:37 PM ^
To the being caught...by the other team.

I'd like to say Arizona has a chance after getting into half, but I am starting to think I better start drinking again to make it fun watching this.
