Harbaugh-Stanford Recruiting Commits

Submitted by PKnoll_17 on

Sorry if this has been discussed, looked and didn't see it, But IF....Harbaugh did come to Michigan, does anyone know if Michigan was in the running with any of their prospects. Hopefully we'll be able to bring in equal talent if RR did leave as we'd most likely lose Dee Hart, Dallas Crawford, and others? - Here's Rivals commit list for Stanford.......

It sucks that this talk is going on. Seriously, we would never have to worry about Coach Rod bolting for greener pastures. JH's brother is a successful NFL coach. I honestly dont see him being content, with whatever level of success he potentially could have, to stay here for a decade (or 2) knowing the Superbowl he never won his brother may well have won in the next several years. The worst part is half of our fan base (those that dont read this site) chooses to be oblivious to this fact.

Im just as sick of the speculation as anyone, but my heart sank with the Schefter opinion earlier. That said, if Harbaugh's comin, who ya bringin? Forcier, Warren...a Cali pipeline couldn't hurt, right? I'd hate to lose Dee and others, and I dont wanna see Devin at QB yet. He inherit a job that won a Heisman in its previous year. But that likely won't happen with a coaching change. I'm all for tradition, ours is beyond compare. As crazy as the Mad-Hatter is, he's not going to the NFL and he makes me more excited about orchestrating Denard and his slot ninjas than another season of transition with a still not so deep depth chart

Comment from guy you referred to as Richard brought some perspective.  He did not neg you, merely pointed out his opinion ratherly cleverly......You need to chill.  If you don't want responses to what you have to say, don't post.....

This may be a pointless comment but i see a lot of people on here complaining about taking a lot of commits from players with similar positions but i just noticed Stanford has 4 running backs with similar size committed. Now that seems a little excessive to me.

You are assuming that they will all play at that position. Didn't Stanford have a fullback that also played middle linebacker this year? Given their constraints on recruiting, I suspect depth is a real issue at Stanford, and they have to recruit the best athletes available regardless of position.
