Also the front of the MGoWedding's save the date cards, minus the elder-terrifying text.

It's time for the annual approximately week-long Christmas break, which extends from tomorrow, the 23rd, to the 28th. Normal blog service resumes the 29th, with exceptions made for breaking news of an important variety. A recruiting dead period just began and the only sporting event in the interim is a basketball game against Bryant they should win by 30, so monumental news is unlikely.

Merry Christmas/Holiday of Choice.

There isn't anything wrong with saying "happy holidays." It includes Christmas and the New Year, and I've spoken it and heard from the mouths of real beer-drinking American sons and daughters of the midwest all of my life. Maybe you're referring to the phrase "holiday tree," in which I case I agree. Anyone who says holiday tree should be hung from one like some sort of macabre ornament.

Brian's gone!  PARTY!

However...Brian, when you say "monumental news is unlikely", that makes me very afraid some sort of monumental news is going to happen in the next week.  After the last couple years, I can't help but equate "monumental" with "bad".*

*(Although I guess having the entire SEC sanctioned for being the Kwame Kilpatrick of college football would be good monumental news.)

Brian, thanks for a great year and we know that 2011 will be even better.

And for those who haven't thanked Brian with a little financial support, time to do your fair share.
