Wow.  A co-worker of mine here in Cleveland was raised in Long Island and really wanted to go to the game this weekend.  Except his wife threw a fit (he travels during the week) so he gave in and didn't go.  And tomorrow he's got a sales call in Detroit of all places.

I think I'm going to have him buy me a lottery ticket.

NFL and Vikings discussing giving away tickets to Monday night's 7:20 game in Detroit for free on first-come, first-serve basis.

When wildfires swept through SD, and Chargers-Dolphins was moved to Tempe, Az., those tickets given away for free. Same could happen here.

From Adam Schefter's twitter.

mxair23 already stated this, but here's the language from the Vikings' website:

Any ticket holders for the original Giants-Vikings game will be admitted and given preferred seating along the 50-yard line. Free general admission tickets to the game will be available at the Ford Field box office beginning at 8:00 a.m. CST [9am EST].

This would be perfect if I didn't have work from 10 to 1 tomorrow. Should I...?

  1. Email my boss and tell her I will be late
  2. Assume they won't give away all of them by 2-2:30, which is the soonest I could get there after work if I skip class
  3. Be very angar at myself and just watch on TV

I'm thinking about going and bringing some fun signs:

Brett Favre knows how to use a cell phone

No one cares about Brett Favre

Brett Favre takes pictures of his own penis  (although this one would get me kicked out, I'm sure.)

God wanted me to have a great sports weekend. I took Monday off of work because I was going to the Big Chill, then the Lions game today, and since I had a ticket to todays game, I can go to the game tomorrow without having to wait in line for free tickets. Thank you baby jesus!

anyone know the rules for this? Is there a limit to the number of tickets they'll give to one person? If I have a friend try and pick up three tickets is that going to be kosher? are they going to limit it to one per person?
