Mississippi State Defense vs. LSU Every Snap

Submitted by Thorin on

I'm not sure what to make of this. LSU is basically the anti-Michigan (92nd in total offense, 8th in total defense). I remain confident that Denard can win this game with his arm. Also, the MSU D seemed to be worn down after only 50 snaps. Without checking, I would guess that Michigan averages about 70.

The defense for Missississississippi state game out roaring the first quarter. After this quarter it seemed they had tired themselves out a little but still made a couple nice pressures here and there. LSU established somewhat of a run against them with Jefferson, I would assume Denard will be able to do the same if not much better. As long as the UM O line can hold their D line, I think we win this game.

....from watching this.

1. LSU has a stellar kicker

2. LSU's RBs hit the holes hard, with no indecision.

3. MissSt.'s secondary has holes in it. Accurate passing will gain yards.

4. MissSt.'s D tackles flows well to the ball, and tackles ok when they get there.

This was early in the season.  We have a lot  of young players and they walked into tiger stadium this year and crapped their pants.  We had 5 turnovers and gave them the ball at mid-field almost every possession.  But it was still a game in the second half.  I was there.  Not very fun.  LSU and their lucky, grass eating coach, are not much better than us this year.
