I think our presence delayed an inevitable Bama Commitment.  I hope that I'm wrong.  Maybe we bought ourselves a week to convince him otherwise.

Could Dave Brandon get on the phone for Dee?  Is that desirable?

Dee "opened up his recruitment." No one really seems to know for sure what that means. One thing is for sure, if he does still enroll early, it doesn't look good for us.

I think that this shows the type of head he has on his shoulders. If he does indeed just wait to enroll I think it shows that he isn't going to give up his college football future just to pick a school he can enroll early at. Some kids would automatically just switch because they are unsure of one school. It takes maturity to be willing to wait if you know your better option in the long run is to let things settle then decide. Let's be honest here, a kid with his sort of talent is going to be in the same place no matter if he EEs or not.

this is probably a good thing.  it means prefers UM if RR stays, and enrolls early.  if RR gone.  he is probably gone to Bama in the Fall.

maybe Dee needs to make the Jimmy Chitwood speech.

#15324 not to get overly excited about a recruit who has committed.  Decommittments and changes of heart happen more and more. Probably won't be the last time this happens.

You're right.  Sorry about getting excited about the direction the program is taking when dynamic playmakers mowing down the top competition in the nation decide to come play for your school.

McGuffie!*

Excitement is probably ok, but the mental masturbation that happens when a 17 year old changes his mind for the 10th time is a bit much.

Until he is here, until  he has demonstrated that he can stay and produce at the D1 level consistently,  a bit of patience is probably not a bad thing. If nothing else, it places an unfair burden on the student. He might not be the second coming, horror of horrors, he might redshirt.

In the meantime, satisfy yourself with the knowledge that when there is solid news, we'll hear from Tom VH while the rest of the country is still zomg'ing themselves.

*no, I am not slamming him. I'm on record with my thoughts about his problems and his career, and have wished him nothing but the best. Pause and recall when it was all "zomg, he jumps over people" here.

Don't be discouraged about recruits like this... because we will get a flurry of big and solid recruits when Harbaugh comes.....  guys like MLB James Vaughters.   And youll notice that all our new recruits that follow Harbaugh will be of Michigan of old  quality... BIG and TOUGH and IMPOSING.   You should stop talking about recruits who are flaking now, and talk about the real recruits we will get... AND REJOICE.

Michigan football is coming back.

Stanford's lone win against a top 25 team is, is, is, hmmm? Oh yeah, that's right, they don't have a signature win this year. My bad. Give Stanford credit for taking care of business, but facts are facts. We loss to 3 top 8 teams. They played 1 top 25 team.

I think scout has it right. They reduced us to soft verbal and added Alabama as high interest as well. From the information everyone has, that is the most accurate way to portray the situation.

how the coaches visit went yesterday....at least the speculation that Dee Hart would announce for Alabama did not come to pass....Dee go with your heart and stay committed to your original choice...Michigan...GO BLUE!

I cant remember where I heard it (twitter or Jox) but due to the media lockdown by D and his mom, someone close to the family said that he will finish his senior year in HS.  This could change as we've seen but it could also be good for us.
