From Banquet, Denard promises victory in bowl game, Dave Brandon on bowl destination
Per Angelique twitter account,
Denard to seniors re: Bowl "We're going to let you all out with a big victory. No matter what team, we're going to get a win"
and Per Mark Snyder
AD Dave Brandon on bowl destination: "Frank (Beckmann) thinks we might be going west, I think we might be going in a different direction."

I saw Denard today, made my day. Isn't he swell?
Great to see the continued positivity and confidence from our young quarterback.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:03 PM ^
No matter what team? That's a little hard to swallow. I love his enthusiasm, but not something I'd be putting my money on before I saw who we were up against.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:07 PM ^
What do you expect Denard to say to the seniors, we'll get you a win if we play another lousy team?
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:16 PM ^
Edited. Didn't realize he was addressing the team and not the media.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:17 PM ^
It's called being a leader. It's not like he said it to the reporter directly....at least thats how I read it. I will assume you were being sarcastic.
Edit: Forgive me.......
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:18 PM ^
Forgive me. I am letting out a huge breath and stepping away for the night. Denard is absolutely amazing and hopefully we can keep Dee. Have a grrrrreat night.

MGoRob is not "All In For Michigan"
December 4th, 2010 at 12:30 AM ^
Wow, you guys need to chill out. I actually said I "loved his enthusiasm" and I get neg bombed for it? Considering I've watched us play nearly every Big Ten team tight or on the losing side, I'd like to see who we were matched against before I would place a bet on it. Me. Not Denard. I'm glad he said that.
And no, I am "All in". I'm one of the last few people I know who still say RR should keep his job and be given a 4th year.
Man, everyone seems to be a little too reactive right now.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:04 PM ^
This cant be too uncommon when talking to your own team, can it?
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
It's always nice to hear players being positive. Especially this guy:
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:20 PM ^
It's a shame to know that a lot of people want RR out too because you would probably be taking that smile and enthusiasm away. Blah...
Thinking positively though, I'm really looking forward to the Bowl Game no matter how much CC talk there is.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
i don't think that guy is ever anything but positive...
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:08 PM ^
this guys positivity. This whole damned thing has become tinged with so much sadness. . .
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:38 PM ^
is becoming a leader in his own right. He is learning what it is to be a Michigan Man. It is so much more than carrying a football. Its about team, Coach, School.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:08 PM ^
Has Brass balls. You got to love this kid.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:11 PM ^
gotta love that smile
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:15 PM ^
dee hart not want to play along side that smile...
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:19 PM ^

December 2nd, 2010 at 10:02 PM ^
Give me Thomas Rawls anyday.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:04 PM ^
dont get me wrong, i would love to have dee here..but i can live with what we have now.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:19 PM ^
how the smile heals....
December 3rd, 2010 at 12:08 AM ^
"Denard's smile is like a thousand kittens dipped in egg batter and rolled in fairy dust, fried to a deep golden brown in oil of pegasus horn, and served on a plate of dreams and starshine." -+1 to El Jeffe for assembling this beautiful statement together, couldn't have described it any better
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:12 PM ^
Denard is the man. Maybe a solid win in a bowl game will help us keep RR to see if he can prove himself next year against MSU and OSU.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:45 PM ^
if we go to the Gator Bowl. Does everyone realize that the Gator bowl is at 1:30pm on 01JAN11 on ESPN2 and the Capital One Bowl is at 1pm on 01JAN11 on ESPN? That means that we will be playing the same time as "Li'l Brother". It would be soooo sweet to take away Sparty's thunder. Our ratings will be so much more than Sparty's. We get a prestigeous New Years Day bowl (which helps recruiting). Sparty has one of its best years in 20 years and Danny Boy is coach of the year, and we still upstage them? I just cant wait.
December 3rd, 2010 at 9:03 AM ^
Not sure about that. The MSU-PSU game brought in ESPN 2's highest number for a game so far this year. I think the Capital One Bowl is the most prestigious bowl game outside of the BCS. I just find it weird that the Outback Bowl has been moved to 1PM on ABC, and the other two Big Ten games are on the ESPN channels also at 1. I used to like being able to watch the Outback Bowl early at 11, lead that into the Capital One Bowl, and then the Rose. Oh well, as long as UM is playing after the new year again, I can't complain.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:15 PM ^
a nice way to finish his Michigan career.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:30 PM ^
You stay classy.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:40 PM ^
I hope he leaves Michigan if/when RR is fired so he can continue playing QB and hopefully win Heismans. I would cry if he left, but I'd hate to see him waste him college career playing in a system that he doesn't fit in.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:43 PM ^
You don't think Harbaugh can incorporate some designed QB runs into his offense?
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
His full potential would never be reached in Harbaugh's system, and I wonder if he'd even be given a chance to play QB based on his size.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:21 PM ^
I have a hunch Harbaugh would give the reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year a chance to keep his position. And I disagree about Denard not being able to reach his full potential. Harbaugh has already groomed two QBs into NFL prospects. Why not with Denard, too?
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:20 PM ^
Harbaugh has already groomed two QBs into NFL prospects.I got Luck, but who was the other? Was there someone at San Diego?
December 3rd, 2010 at 9:05 AM ^
Yes, Josh Johson played for him at San Diego. Now with the Bucs.
December 2nd, 2010 at 11:56 PM ^
you cant teach 6'2-6'5... period. I do believe DR will leave if RR is gone, followed by a couple other players. Mallet didnt want to stay and play in RR system like I feel Denard wont play in harbaugh system.. I see him going back south..
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:08 PM ^
Harbaugh is leaving Stanford?
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
I was going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant for the seniors.
But alas, you are just a douche.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:01 PM ^
I pretend this is Brian or a mod playing a hilarious joke on us by writing something so empty and rediculous. I hope this is true and it isn't a stooge that really just said that. I want to nuke you so bad, but I could never drop a nuke on a Denard thread.
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:28 PM ^
of this restraint
December 2nd, 2010 at 10:24 PM ^
That's a ridiculous comment. You hope Denard leaves Michigan if Rich Rod is gone? Go back to the Red Cedar Board, dude.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:16 PM ^
With everyone returning on the offensive line, all skill players, Denard will be considered the heisman favorite next year, and honestly there's not another Michigan player i would rather see win it but him.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:50 PM ^
and at the skill positions, but let's also hope--and I don't think this is unrealistic--that he makes a jump similar to the one he made from 2009 to 2010. Even if it was half as much as that leap, I think we could expect great things.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:17 PM ^
But, "I guarantee a win against (insert name of team here)" is a little unrealistic.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:20 PM ^
Downer McKillJoy. Good God man, if Denard is confident, shouldn't you be.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
for next year. Unless Denard is playing both corner positions in the bowl game, I am uneasy. I would rather Denard wait until the team is better (next year) and guarantee victory over tOSU than make an empty promise to beat an opponent that hasn't even been named yet.
December 2nd, 2010 at 9:28 PM ^
At least Team X can't say he's disrespecting them.
