This is going to be such an awesome event on the 11th. I'm still trying to figure out what warm drinks to have for the tailgate.

I realize its way in advance, but does anyone have a farmers almanac or something. We can start getting some extended weather predictions. Hopefully it is cold enough for the ice to be good. I can't wait.
As for warm drinks, the Coffee/Baileys or Hot Chocolate/Kahlua combos are always solid.

Of course they may have sold the time they planned on using for a public skate.

Can't wait for the game!!! Travelling from San Diego to be there. Anyone know if the game is televised?
November 26th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
The game will be on Fox Sports Detroit, and includes both pre and post game shows.
November 27th, 2010 at 9:06 PM ^
I have Directv, which doesn't include FSD.
November 29th, 2010 at 8:16 AM ^
The Big Ten Network will be picking up the game in areas outside of the FSN Detroit footprint.

Can't wait for the Big Chill, To get the Big Chill fever really going, I'm going to the Michigan hockey game tonight in Madison, 6th rows back from the Michigan Bench !
November 26th, 2010 at 2:57 PM ^
For road games, does Michigan wear white or blue jerseys
trying to figure out which one to wear tonight for the game in madison

When does the first hockey game get played on the ice? Isn't it some division III schools. It obviously won't be as cool as the Big Chill but it would be fun to go to some of the smaller games before.
November 29th, 2010 at 8:24 AM ^
Adrian College (Div III) will be playing Concordia (Wis) on Dec 4th at 9:30 AM.

EDIT: Apparently, they are calling it the "Frozen Face-off", not the Little Chill
EDIT #2: Just noticed that they will be having a post-game tailgate at the Pioneer parking lot, featuring Randy's BBQ for only $3. For those not in the know, Randy's started as a roadside BBQ joint with no seating, on US-12, near Michigan International Speedway. It is the real deal and really good. I would swing by, just to get the pulled pork or brisket sandwich.

Can someone explain why the ice looks pink on the webcam?
