So according to Miles Austin,

Wide receiver Miles Austin said the Cowboys took a hard-edge [emphasis mine] approach and got back down to business in practice this week.

If HARRD EDGE can let a 1-7 team starting a former lions QB beat the division leading Giants...

by 2 scores....

in NJ...

imagine what it will do for a 7-3 team at home starting dilithium :D

Interesting but the comparisons end at hard-edge. The Cowboys were considered a preseason superbowl pick and even with kitna were probably the most talented 1-7 team in history. It would be a better comparison if a team like Alabama were 1-7 this year playing as heavy dogs.

You are probably right. They were still favorites being 1-7 for the Super Bowl too. Predictors never get it wrong when predicting the Super Bowl. They should hve just packed it in when Wade was fired. I guess we should pack it in since we got the 7th win that the predictors said we would end up with too. Screw the mental part of any competition. It's all physical. We're toast, cooked, busted, screwed, and doomed.

You missed my point, although I do understand the point of this thread was to just cite something with Hard Edge in it and not to actually talk about football. My point was not that predictors are wrong, it was that the Cowboys are highly talented and their underdog status was more to do with bad coaching/bad luck than lack of talent or youthfulness. An underperforming Alabama team would much more closely resemble the Cowboys (who won the NFC east last year and returned everybody and added Dez Bryant). Michigan reminds me a lot more of a team like the Rams this year -- New QB in place, young team and middle of the pack team, chance to pull off an upset against the upper-tier teams, could easily be a force in the NFC in the next couple of years.

I don't even know what NFL stands for. Thanks for clueing me in on Bradford. I agree he is good, but I think Denard is along the lines of a more mobile QB like Freeman, McNabb (old), and Vick. Denard is inexperienced right now so I am going with Freeman with a good chance of Vick.

We need a symbol to go beside posts that have heavy sarcasm/will make you lol. This way, people that need a good laugh know exactly where to go. But what is a good blog w out sarcasm, humor, and wits mixed together?!

I agree with you 100%.  I'm as sarcastic as the next guy/gal and I always appreciate these posts.  Personally, I just thinkthe use of an article with the phrase "hard edge" mentioned as grounds for starting a new thread is borderline non-OT . . .  All that said, the "hard edge" responses to posts/threads is definitely funny.  Maybe just not new thread material?

I agree. I don't want every post using the disguise of hard edge to promote their own agenda. With that said, I do plan on posting a hard edge pump up post friday. It will most likely be torn down in 2.3 seconds, but what the hell? Right?

I thought this was great because the 1-7 Cowboys used "a hard-edge" approach and won.
