The Toussaint wishing well

Submitted by mgoblueballer on

Give it up with the eternal wishing that Fitz Toussaint is gonna be some mysterious weapon that gets unleashed and saves the day the next 2 games. Yeah he is a fighter, yeah he has has terrible luck, and yeah, I hope he can be 100% and get some PT. But there are many people that still need to get the delusions out of their head. He is an average back at best, injured or not. Our future at RB is not Fitz Toussaint or Mike Cox. It's Smith and Hopkins. Get used to it.

My IQ just dropped 5 pts just from reading OP's message.   Easily one of the most ignorant, ill-informed things I've read in a long time on the blog.

OTOH, my suspicious mind wonders if it's really a brilliant evil scheme designed to elicit an absolute explosion of posbangs in the ensuing carnage.   Hmmm.....

He was drafted in the 4th round. However, he missed all of preseason, because of an injury suffered in a college all-star game. He saw his first action in the season opener. He had 8 carries for 0 yards. He finished the season averaging only 3.5 yards a carry.

Based on flimsey evidence, of mgoblueballer's ability to evaluate talent... he would have cut this back early in the season.

This back with such an inauspicious start... he went on to have a decent career. You may have heard of him, his name was Walter Payton.

I posbanged every comment except those of the OP. That means that everyone who negged the OP once broke even.  If another four people did this, it would make everyone who negged him five times break even.  Just sayin....

I hate babies, they're so lazy, all they do is sleep, eat, and shit. We need to stop putting our faith in babies as the future of the world, they will let us down every time we need them.

I think everyone on this Board understands that Fitz is now a project for next year where hopefully we will get to see his potential...that said, I still believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and Fitz putting up crazy yards against Wisky and tOSU

I'd like to add to the list of overrated things:

  • Christian Pace: He hasn't even seen the field yet.  Huge disappointment.
  • Troy Woolfolk: He has shown NOTHING this year
  • Tacopants: His numbers are WAY down
  • My 2-year-old niece: her 40 time is shit, and she can't pick up a blitz to save her soul.
  • My dog: He falls for the tennis ball play-action and the pump-fake EVERY TIME.  No zone discipline at all.
  • America's nuclear arsenal: We keep hearing how powerful it is, but it just sits there, year after year, riding the bench.
  • Giant asteroids: Competely overhyped; Earth remains undestroyed.

Dear Fitz, we hope you are well enough to get in and sustain some hits

Dear Smith, Please make your past injury appear to be some sort of myth

Dear Hopkins; see that twinkie in the end zone? Its all you! Go get it.........sorry not much rhymes with hopkins

Dear Cox; Stay away from the tight end and run hard enough to ut holes in your socks

Dear Shaw, Keep doing what your doing and keep both hands on the ball

Win or lose we will be proud. Win or lose we will be loud!!

Go Blue!

Ouch!

EDIT:  Apologize for the length of this post, but it's just plain awesome.

I note that there is no "in my opinion" or "I think" in your message.  Does that mean you believe that the OP should go f- him/herself (your opinion) or that is actually something they need to physically do (a fact)?  After the lesson in writing that we got from the OP I'm more confused than ever . . .

sure makes me miss that Joe Montana video game that Sega had...the one where you could spin move the entire way down the field and never get tackled.... anyone??

As for Fitz, he has started out with Carlos Brown syndrome... hurt often, but when out there, as fast as anyone on the field... I think its too soon to be bagging on the kid though...
