I just can't tell if it's awesome or awful... a little of both at times.
A win is a win!
Go Blue!!!

According to Barney Stintson from HIMYM combining awesome with awful gives you...that's awfsome.

I will remember this moment. Not very long, but I will remember it.

I've decided that I really like Vinopal a lot. Single handedly stopped a TD on that short pass from their own endzone that went for 30 some yards. Definitely has some speed, good fundamentals.
November 15th, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
I was just going to write something similar. Seems like a faster, maybe slightly smaller version of Kovacs. I was impressed with him in this game.

Is it because he's gritty? Or because he's white
November 15th, 2010 at 1:50 PM ^
Both.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:14 AM ^
I know it's Purdue but you can see our team speed. Also, the team did a good job of flowing to the ball and shedding blocks. Again, it's Purdue but there is improvement from earlier in the year, ala UMass.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:22 AM ^
I think Vinopal is going to grow into a great player.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:31 AM ^
The defensive performance again and not scream and pull my hair out. Thanks for posting!
November 15th, 2010 at 9:33 AM ^
That was painful to watch for entirely different reasons. I'm not even sure if our 2008 offense was that inept.

Ezeh had his best game of the past two years, and Carvin is a sensational tackler.
November 15th, 2010 at 9:40 AM ^
Yeah Ezeh made some good plays that I questioned whether that was him or someone in his uniform.
Carvin had a pretty good game too, and I will agree with some others above this post that commented on Vinopal. He also played pretty well at safety this past weekend (okay so it was against a shitty Purdue team, but still).
November 15th, 2010 at 10:20 AM ^
Carvin's hit at 9:08 was pretty great.
November 15th, 2010 at 1:03 PM ^
Yeah I was a little surprised to see a linebacker make a good play and it turn out to be ezeh. I think in the final drive when we were basically playing prevent defense he was at MLB again too, thought thats probably (hopefully?) situational.
Carvin made some great tackles which was awesome. Also gotta give props to Cam tho what with the fumbles and the scoring.

To Vinopal, for actually being able to chase down skill position players.
To Avery, for two more good PBUs.
To Carvin, for bringing the wood.
To Rogers, for two INTs. Keep those game balls, and thanks for never giving up when you were buried on the depth chart.
To Ezeh, for playing great at a new position. It can't be easy losing your job as a RS senior, but I'm looking forward to the next three games with him at OLB.

No praise for the guy who had two fumble recoveries and a TD?
November 15th, 2010 at 12:55 PM ^
Was going to put Cam Gordon (or maybe Gordon Cameron?) in, just plain forgot once I started typing.
November 15th, 2010 at 10:12 AM ^
Part of this looks like it's on Purdue's OC. If Michigan's rushing RVB, Roh, and Patterson, why is Patterson consistently getting triple-teamed while the ends are left one-on-one with the tackles? Did they gameplan for Martin maybe? Or just figure someone would be open underneath quick enough that the ends wouldn't cause trouble.
November 15th, 2010 at 1:05 PM ^
I'm no expert, but it seemed like they were optioning off Roh a lot in the run game, fwiw
November 15th, 2010 at 10:39 AM ^
Guy just seems to have a nose for the ball. Made some nice plays in this game. Vinopal seems to be playing better as well. Think we might have found some safeties.
Good stuff as always. Proud of the D.
November 15th, 2010 at 11:22 AM ^
Carvin is going to be a star. Also, if clapping was a statistic, James Rogers would lead the Big Ten.
November 15th, 2010 at 10:49 AM ^
How slow is Cam Gordon when Patterson is waving him to run faster?
November 15th, 2010 at 11:02 AM ^
No complaints here. He did a good job of scooping it up and taking off.
November 15th, 2010 at 12:56 PM ^
Jeez, that is the first thing I thought. Cam is really slowww.
November 15th, 2010 at 10:50 AM ^
1. Did Hope put in Siller for a play just to F with us?
2. What position was Carvin playing? Was it Spur?
November 15th, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
Siller was injured on that one play, which is why he never returned.
Carvin was playing either bandit or spur. I think it was bandit, but I'm not certain.
November 15th, 2010 at 11:27 AM ^
was Purdue trying to do that hook-and-ladder play again? It looked like Dierking was streaking around looking for a lateral.
November 15th, 2010 at 1:44 PM ^
I was listening to the radio broadcast and that is what Frank was saying
November 15th, 2010 at 1:45 PM ^
Yes, pretty sure thats what he was trying to do
November 15th, 2010 at 12:18 PM ^
thanks pahokester
November 15th, 2010 at 2:46 PM ^
The guy at the 1:50 mark after Cam's TD going "yeah, yeah" while twirling his fingers just made my day.
November 15th, 2010 at 4:58 PM ^
Purdue ran the ball okay, but didn't pass well.
