Hope, a quality guy

Submitted by Blazefire on

Michigan's second offensive drive. Denard tackled on a second down run about the 8 yard line. Purdue players clearly throw punches in the pile.

Quality coaching. Quality guy.

Noticed it too, but what do you expect.  His moustache has clearly taken control of his mind (likely because it was transplanted from a crappy coach who died in a horrific accident).

So how about we make the punch video a nice slow motion animated gif, and throw it up at the top of Mgoblog. Danny Hope can bitch about it later all he wants.

I don't think that was a punch.  I think #3 was just trying to strip the ball and the motion looked like he was taking a swing at Denard.

Danny Hope is still a dick though.

that play was long dead before he threw his hands in. Even if he was going for the ball, he threw a punch on dead ball - I don't think his intentions really have anything to do with it.

So, I'm glad I wasn't the only person who noticed it.  I thought I was seeing things but then when Danny Hope took a timeout with 2 seconds left while everyone is heading inside for halftime so he could hopefully get a TD, I was convinced they were punching him.

Good stuff.

Michigan combined its worst offensive half of the season with one of its best defensive halves. In the end Michigan leads by one. All UM needs to stop giving Purdue football games like they have the past two seasons, is a quality offensive second half. Let's Go Blue!

Rodriguez, quality guy.  Last year.  Notre Dame.  Mouton clearly throws a punch at a Notre Dame player.  Cut me a break with this BS.  It goes on everywhere.

Mouton sat for a game for after that. If Mouton sat, then  #3 should sit.

lets go to the zapruder.

This is where the whistle blows. Note the position of #3.

Now. lets see what happens next. He ends up on top of denard.

The arm goes up.

There's no way that's not a punch  after the whistle.

The Big 10 told him to sit, not RR.  I'm merely trying to show the ridiculousness of calling out Danny Hope when our own players have been guilty of this in the past and following this logic then the blame should lie squarely on RR instead of calling it what it is--a boneheaded move by a player.  As Michigan fans we always think our players and program are a notch above everyone else's in the morality dept. and we might be at times but other times we're just as guilty.

  • How come you're always having to ask opposing coaches why they're running the score up on you?
  • How come you're the only team against whom every other team wants to run the score up?
