OT - Who would you like to play in this year's championship game?
Who do you want to see in the championship game? My choice would be Oregon & TCU, as I think that would be a great matchup of Offense vs. Defense.
BCS poll is out... http://www.bcsfootball.org/
1. Oregon
2. Auburn
3. TCU
4. Boise St.
5. LSU

Oregon/Bama..but that wont happen. auburn IF* cam's recruitment was legit. otherwise, i guess id rather see TCU then Boise

Michigan
November 7th, 2010 at 9:06 PM ^
Wasn't it the Knowledge that said Michigan vs. Boise St.?
November 7th, 2010 at 9:17 PM ^
Wish it could be.
2011?
November 7th, 2010 at 8:59 PM ^
I would like to see Oregon vs. Boise State but I think it's going to be Oregon vs. Auburn.
With Oregon and Boise State, there will probably be the introduction to some crazy new uni's never before seen if they end up playing each other.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:00 PM ^
Boise St. and TCU. Only because we are not battling either of them for recruits. Another plus is neither team has paid their QB or had half of their roster arrested like Oregon and Auburn.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:00 PM ^
Oregon vs TCU... top offense vs top defense
November 8th, 2010 at 10:57 AM ^
If that doesn't happen, I don't care. As long as they don't put BSU and TCU against each other in another bowl game. Wouldn't mind watching TCU knock the piss out of OSU's offense in the Fiesta Bowl. Oh wait. OSU will be out of BCS bowl discussions after we beat them. Nevermind.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:01 PM ^
Oregon vs. anyone so we can see what it's gonna look like in 2 years when we win one.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:05 PM ^
I want to see TCU and BSU in a dog of a game that nobody watches so that the BCS BS will finally stop and the National Championship will be determined on the field by a playoff of major conference champions and a few play-in berths for indies and champions of lesser conferences.
The NCAA deserves to suffer some consequences for the massive fraud which they have perpetrated on the American public for so long. Let them have to give rebates back to the networks for a "championship" game that nobody watches. That would be a great start.
November 8th, 2010 at 9:46 AM ^
Just like nobody watched the BSU/VT game? I believe that was the most watched CFB game on ESPN so far this year (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). I think a Boise State title game might be one of the most watched ever, because so many people are intrigued that a small school from Idaho is causing mayhem.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
I would like to see Auburn vs. Oregon. I want Auburn to win and then the NCAA to find that Cam was ineligible. Watching the BCS burn as Oregon, Boise, and TCU (assuming TCU and Boise can stay undefeated after the bowls) lobby for the championship would be fantastic. It'd be Urban Cryer x1,000,000.
Basically I vote for chaos.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
Get out of here with all of this TCU - Boise nonsense. The strength of Schedule argument is stronger than most think. The advantage of playing #10 Virginia Tech week 1, #24 Oregon St. week 3 (obviously over rated at the time with losses to Washington and UCLA) and not playing another ranked opponent until Nevada (come on... ) until week 12 is that in between each "tough" team, you have a ton more time in between tough opponents to prepare a game plan. I think that this advantage is often overlooked when considering strength of schedule.
Auburn on the other hand has to play Clemson the week before South Carolina, Arkansas the week before LSU and Georgia the week before Bama. Not to mention, the SEC has 7 ranked teams in it and the Pac-10 has 3-5 ranked teams depending on the week.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:09 PM ^
Final Score Oregon 63 - BS 10. I want to see that.
November 8th, 2010 at 7:20 AM ^
because Boise has clearly shown the last two times they couldn't handle Oregon's offense...
November 8th, 2010 at 10:37 AM ^
yeah and also because their opponents are so highly regarded as oregon-esque teams!

Michigan
November 7th, 2010 at 9:12 PM ^
Either Oregon v. Auburn; or Boise St. vs. a "traditional power" such as LSU.
I don't really want to see Boise St. v. Oregon for some reason. I feel like both BSU and OU are kind of "surprise under dogs" and don't want to see them face off against each other.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:21 PM ^
I want to see Boise State play in the game and I don't care who they play. If BSU wins I will be even happier.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:28 PM ^
I would like to see Oregon play TCU. The best offense in the country against the "best" defense in the country against inferior competition. How many teams in the top 15 in the country do you think could give up so few points against the same teams TCU plays. All of them! Oregon wins 45 - 17.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:32 PM ^
Michigan vs the Globetrotters.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:36 PM ^
Boise and Auburn.
Even if Auburn loses to Bama, the BCS owes them a MNC berth after the royal screw job they received years ago. IMHO.
In my mind, it's pretty tough to say that in the time since Boise beat TCU and Oregon (without losing since) that those teams have somehow proven they're the Broncos superior.
I understand it isn't the same year; the teams aren't exactly the same, but I think Boise (or any season-spanning undefeated) should be given their entire unbeaten streak as their resume, not just this season.
How many unbeaten seasons will BSU need to get a shot? If they get jobbed this year (again) and roll into next November riding a 40 game streak, would that be enough?
November 7th, 2010 at 9:38 PM ^
BCS chaos. I'm an agent of chaos.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:55 PM ^
Or even a one of them vs. a "BCS" school.
BTW...saw Karate Kid (original) tonight, again. That and your avatar naturally made this come to mind:
FWIW...This song would make an epic track for an epic hype video, just sayin. I am thinking it fits the Team and the attitude right now.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
TCU v. Auburn MNC
msu v oregon Rose bowl action
Boise v. Nebraska Fiesta
LSU v. Wisconsin Sugar
Va Tech v. Stanford Orange
November 7th, 2010 at 9:45 PM ^
Oregon and TCU. The match-up won't get any better than that.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:47 PM ^
I'd like to see a midmajor in there. The BCS debate gets decided whether they win or lose.
It'd also be sweet if Oregon or Auburn were able to smoke whoever is first or second in the Big Ten so that people will stop saying that the spread can't work in the Big Ten.
November 8th, 2010 at 3:27 AM ^
Now to get every mid-major supporter in the country to sign a voluntary cease-and-desist order when either TCU or Boise loses to Oregon or Auburn.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:48 PM ^
Oregon vs Auburn. I'd like to see OU roll UA.
November 7th, 2010 at 9:52 PM ^
TCU vs. Boise. The sooner the demise of the BCS and the bowl system, the better.
It's time for a playoff, and I'm willing to have a sacrificial season when no team has come out dominating to do so. Whether its a +1, 8 team, or 16 team tourney, anything that gets us closer is better, although I would prefer a 16 team playoff with conference auto-bids.
November 7th, 2010 at 10:17 PM ^
I'd like to see Auburn get shut out of it again.
November 8th, 2010 at 3:31 AM ^
Cam Newton stole Denard's Heisman hype. Unforgivable.
November 7th, 2010 at 10:23 PM ^
Michigan's #1 squad vs Michigan's # 2 squad. Denard vs Tate. A zillion overtimes. Awesome. The best part....Michigan wins!!!!
November 7th, 2010 at 10:24 PM ^
Part of me wants to see Oregon win it all because I feel their offense is our offense's cousin or nephew or something.
But Mostly I want to see either BSU or TCU take on Auburn, and win. because nothing would be more fitting than the conference that gets the most love and bitched the most to get special treatment from the BCS to get punked by a mid-major. ALSO it would legitimize whatever program (BSU or TCU) that got there and pulled it off and maybe we'd stop treating them like somewhere between FBS and FCS 1.
November 7th, 2010 at 10:31 PM ^
Great match-up. For obvious reasons I would like to see how an elite spread offense performs against a elite SEC defense. Preview of Michigan-Alabama 2012?
November 8th, 2010 at 12:14 AM ^
Auburn definitely does not have an elite SEC defense. They have an average defense with a great offense. Exactly what people here are hoping for Michigan to have next year.
November 7th, 2010 at 10:31 PM ^
Oregon was my MNC pick at the start of the season...Go Ducks!
November 7th, 2010 at 11:03 PM ^
came to mind:
Oregon vs. TCU. As others have said, the best ofense against the best defense. Both teams are from the Western half of the country so no travel issues to give one side the advantage and we can find out if the PAC-10 is what they claim to be as well as finding out if the non-BCS contenders are truly for real (I think they are now).
I don't want to see Boise and TCU play each other, that proves nothing. I'd like to see Auburn and Boise play each other as well. That would be a great double-header.
November 8th, 2010 at 12:12 AM ^
Slippery Rock-- They'll move up from Division II
November 8th, 2010 at 12:21 AM ^
Boise State vs. Auburn. Boise is a better team than TCU IMO. Boise defense is underrated because most people don't seem to notice their defense and only concentrate on the offense. TCU is good but their offense does not compare with Boise. Boise bascially has everybody back from last year and they're even better than last year. I would love to see Boise punk Auburn thus showing that SEC isn't a superconference that most SEC fans and media seems to think.
November 8th, 2010 at 2:34 AM ^
Anybody but Boise State. I just can't stand the fan base anymore. They cry so much about everything. I used to like Boise State (I used to like the Boston Red Sox too), but now the fan base has totally turned me off them. They try to say something like TCU *Might* not have beaten a top 25 team at the end of the year, when the exact same thing could happen to them. They think beating Va Tech is like defeating a top 5 team. They wonder why TCU jumped them in the polls, all while TCU destroyed a solid Utah team, on the road no less. They say, well we beat TCU last year with basically the same team, but if you say TCU beat them the year before, it does not count. I just can't stand the fans, I like the team a lot, I like the way they play, I like their coach, reminds me of Lloyd. Oh, plus they play in the freaking WAC. Michigan would be scoring 80 points a game in that conference, Yep, I'm serious!
Oregon v TCU, Oregon v Auburn, Oregon v Ohio State (So Oregon beats the piss out of them)
November 8th, 2010 at 10:33 AM ^
Yeah, I know it's not one of the possibilities, but it would be fun to watch the Ducks hang 70 on the Spartoons.
Second choice is Oregon vs BSU. BSU's fan base isn't any whinier than ours is.
November 8th, 2010 at 10:53 AM ^
Auburn v TCU
