Things more competent than the 2010 Michigan defense

Submitted by Amused on

I'll start:

 - Matt Millen as the Lions' GM

 - Ryan Leaf playing quarterback in the NFL

 - The "boom goes the dynamite" guy doing the evening news

Feel free to add on.

I suppose I'm often confused when reading reader comments on the blog that they pereceive that Greg Robinson is the main culprit. I mean, Scott Shafer is doing just fine without the fine assistants he had while he was at Michigan. I agree that M isn't very talented on defense, but they also are not very sound at really any level. Other than Bruce Tall, and the verdict is still out there for me, it doesn't appear they have any good positional coaches working for them. J.T. Floyd looks lost. The bandit and spur are ok. The Dline is chronically underutilized. I guess I think this whole thing is systemic and that the only way I'd keep RR would be if he was forced to get rid of his entire defensive staff and hand the keys to a new guy and let him run his stuff. I don't think the whole working with the 3-3-5 crew is going so well at any level. Anyhow, that's the only way I can see keeping RR, I enjoy the offense, though am occasionally frustrated like any crazy fan, but I don't see hope for the defense. It seems like the failure is happening at every level.
