Just starting. Big game.

Line is FSU -4. O/U around 58.

The home grounds crew is going to get a mouthful from NC State's head coach the way this drive is going. Two runs for nothing because of slipping. Sure it's been raining in Raleigh, but get that turf secure.

Neither team looks particularly good so far, but this is the ACC so I'm not surprised.  That TENNNNNNNUUUUUUUUUTA defense looks decent, but then again FSU hasn't had a good offense since I was in HS.

I watched Russell Wilson play against a team on which I was an assistant when he was at Collegiate.  He was really good.  It's fun to see him do well against FSU, and realize that part of the reason he tore us up had nothing whatsoever to do with our guys.

I like how universities choose the earliest possible date for their seals.  The school that became FSU may have been founded in 1851, but it was a tiny women's school until around WWII.

I also like when those for-profit schools buy a failing school, co-op the name and history, and then put out ads that they have been around for 75 years.  Last time I checked, a school whose major exports are degrees in computer graphics and digital sound mixing wouldn't be a good choice before, you know, computer existed in any reasonable form.

OK, I refuse to start a new thread about this, because it is semi-on-topic, and I figured like the EDSBS and Dr. Saturday Open Threads, this could be a side topic.

OK, so this is ESPN's version of the Michigan logo:

Now, this bothers me on a couple of levels.

For starters, Michigan could do very well by sending them this logo:

which would look cleaner and stronger on their pages.

If they did want to go split M, they should either go with the current version:

or the properly shaped version of the one they're using:

I know it's obsessive, but it really bugs me when I am reading Rittenberg.  I thank you for your time.

The block M is our logo. Anything else is wrong. It bugs me that the university would not only allow an alternative, but basically promote it.

like I said earlier in the thead its the ACC you never know. This game was everything that the ACC is. A team you'd think would win is defeated by a weird play.

Spin the ever changing wheel of the ACC to get a champion
