My roommate baked me cookies last night. Seriously. They were chocolate chip and they were fantastic. We cannot lose on Saturday, victory is assured!

Read this post earlier and found it feeling oh so true.  I absolutely cannot stand watching a Michigan game with someone that doesn't like/hates Michigan.  I hunt and always seem to be at hunt camp when Michigan plays OSU for the past 5 years with a Notre Dame fan.  On top of that, my brother-in-law could care less about sports, but likes to give me flack because Michigan seems to keep losing to OSU every time I watch a game while we are hunting.  I went to the game last year hoping to break that curse...didn't work.

Anyway, I love the post.

Exactly this.

I have a related question for the board at large.  I wore my new #1 away jersey for the first six games, but after the MSU loss, I decided to switch it up and go with my old #16 Navarre-era home jersey.  But, that lead to the Iowa loss.  So, what do I do?

Do I go back to the #1 as it has a fairly good track record so far and perhaps regained its mojo after two weeks off?  Also, does it help that it's an away jersey and we're in Happy Valley this weekend?  Do I give the #16 another shot because it representes Dilithium (unless the Navarre vibes are slowing it down...)?  Do I just wear a normal Michigan shirt?  And if so, which one?  Or should I completely switch it up and wear my Michigan baseball jersey or something?

I need guidance!

Maybe it was the underwear.  You need more data.  I'd suggest wearing the same jersey while switching underwear for two games, then the same with the other jersey for two games.  If that's not conclusive, you'll have to consider there may be other forces involved.

If you posbang my post here, it might not necessarily help Michigan win, but it sure can't hurt!  I suggest you give it a try.  Keep in mind that Michigasling is correct: a large sample size is needed, so don't be shy.

We play The Victors on our musical Michigan pizza cutter following ever Michigan score, but the last two weeks it has been on the fritz.  Maybe this week we will ring the Michigan doorbell to see if that changes anything.

on my Playstation.  My roomate would take the opponent and I would take Michigan, then we'd flip the script.  Michigan was perfect whenever we played, but he moved to Cali and I got engaged.  I kinda wish I would have flown him in the night before the OSU game in 2006.

superstitions and jersey roulette that is jinxing the team.  Drink more beer, get ahold of yourself, and enjoy the win on Saturday.  Michigan 35, Penn State 17.

I feel somewhat responsible myself, i had to attend my father's wedding the weekend of MSU and didn't get to see but about 5 minutes of the game but in hopes of rectifying things i started growing my first beard ever after the Iowa loss. Because M will win this weekend i feel inclined to keep the beard for the remainder of the season and the bowl game a la a playoff beard. i think that anyone that did not participate in the mustache growing earlier must join in the beard growing for the greater good of the MGo community and our team.

There have been many post about UM superstitions and I'm so glad I wasn't the only one changing clothes/going through the same routine/sacrificing animals in my basement (Thanks, Mgoblog) for a victory. Having said that I'm moving into a new house this week because clearly the old one is now cursed.

Great article by In Rod We Trust ...

Assuming inrodwetrust.net is your own website, InRodWeTrust333, are you really referring to your own writing as "great article by"?  Come on.

Eh. Willing to assume the name similarity is a coincidence.

Pretty good article.  I find myself doing many of these things on Gameday already.

I guess I should make sure I am doing good things for others the rest of the week.

For us to have a real home field advantage, we need people to make noise.  not just sit on their hands and jongle their keys from time to time (which pisses me off in all honesty).  put the keys away and scream like a maniac to help our boys in blue to a victory!!

For our last victory (IU), there was a unique message board thread posted during the week leading up to the game.  We did not have a thread like it during MSU or Iowa week.  This leads me to be fairly certain that our boys on the field need us to breakout another.....Lloyd Brady Photoshop Thread!

When the season started my friend and I decided that our student sections shirts weren't getting washed until we saw Michigan lose a game. All was going well until I went home for the weekend of the Indiana game and my mom washed my shirt becuase it "looked sweaty" after I got a bit nervous towards the end of the game. Of course, Michigan lost to MSU the next week. I threw the shirt in the laundry immediately after the game, but since I'm a lazy student I didn't manage to finish all of my laundry and wash the defeat out of it before the Iowa game. Also, MSU and Iowa are the only games I have pregamed for (I'm still not really big on the whole drinking before noon thing quite yet) and of course look at the results...Needless to say I have since made sure the shirt has been washed to cleanse it of defeat and no pregaming shall be done to test these theories.

Find a really athletic spouse, and breed lots of really big and fast children, then teach them to love Michigan Football.
