Tony Romo smashed to pieces.

sideline catch, and then a dancing prancing TD. And lots of hype from Gruden.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
Gruden hypes up anyone with a pulse
October 25th, 2010 at 11:15 PM ^
I like Gruden's enthusiasm on MNF. I'm sure he'd be an amazing recruiter if he ever became a college coach.
October 26th, 2010 at 6:43 AM ^
Perhaps one of the best reasons to go "Denard" and go without cable.
Can't stand that entire crew. Gruden is too over-enthusiastic, Tirico is too boring, and Jaws is alright.
October 26th, 2010 at 12:54 PM ^
Really? I like Tirico and Gruden, and think Jaws is annoying as hell. Whatever, just my opinion.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:16 PM ^
I liked his hyping. Gruden knows what he's talking about.
Love seeing another Michigan man have success though...

It's very sad to watch if you have Miles Austin and Felix Jones on your fantasy team and needed 20 points to win your game.
They have combined for 4.5 points tonight. Austin's td that flew through his hands in the first, and his alligator arms in the second cost me 10 points.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:41 PM ^
But it's awesome to watch if you have the Giants D and Hakeem Nicks facing off against Tony Romo and Roy Williams and went into the game down by 5 points. Plus it is #2 taking on #1.
October 26th, 2010 at 12:22 AM ^
It is even worse when your opponent has Hakeem Nix and you have Roy Williams, and you end up losing by a single point. One freaking 10-yard reception by Williams and I would at least tie, but he gets blanked. Kitna sucks.
Yeah, I know, cool story bro . . .
October 26th, 2010 at 2:39 AM ^
Felix Jones, and Roy Williams really did me in this week.
I propose a trade!
October 25th, 2010 at 11:06 PM ^
I didn't realize they sold 105,000 tickets for the opening game in that stadium. I'm shocked that Jerry Jones didn't figure out how to get his stadium fit at least 113, 000.
Not like him to settle for second place
October 25th, 2010 at 11:12 PM ^
He has to leave 8,000 seats for his ego
October 25th, 2010 at 11:08 PM ^
Jon Kitna in for injured Romo. Disgruntled Lions fans cackle with glee.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:10 PM ^
The Cowboys are collapsing soo hard. I love it!!
Buncha mambie-pambies out there.
October 25th, 2010 at 11:20 PM ^
Literally tied right now. I've never seen this before.
October 26th, 2010 at 12:06 AM ^
for top 5 pick. Romo will be out for at least a month or two. That means the Lions will face Kitna and the Cowboys OL are terrible. The Lions should win this game IMO.
October 26th, 2010 at 5:24 AM ^
I have been hearing this statement from Lions fans for over 40 years. They never learn.

The New Math had a sweet touchdown dance. As much as I wish he'd stuck around, he made the right decision...and now he's proving himself in the NFL. Always gotta cheer for a Michigan Man.
October 26th, 2010 at 2:14 PM ^
He dance was pretty sweet. It reminded me of the beginning of the Squirrel dance from Kelly Washington.

Amani Toomer is sharing the anchor spot with the head sports guy on NYC Channel 9 (where we luddites sans cable watch the ESPN broadcasts of the local teams). The senior guy is doing most of the talking and shunting off to the locker room interviews, but Amani really looks good. Whatever criticism he's gotten lately for comments about M's program (of which I have no first-hand knowledge, but have heard hints), he was an underappreciated WR in the NFL until non-Giants people starting realizing he was becoming the Gints' all-time record-holder, and he mentored Manningham for the brief time they overlapped.
[Excuse me. They're back from the ad.]
October 26th, 2010 at 12:44 AM ^
That the Romo injuy may save Wade Phillips job. Now he has an excuse as to why they play so terribly for the rest of the season.
October 26th, 2010 at 1:46 AM ^
JON KITNA! Too bad for the Cowboys, we've been through that before.
October 26th, 2010 at 2:04 AM ^
Dallas with the same record as Detroit, ha!
October 26th, 2010 at 6:41 AM ^
Cowboys are a complete laughing-stock.
Weren't they supposed to be Super Bowl champions LOL
It's not just Detroit...it's SF too, and Carolina, all with 1 win haha
October 26th, 2010 at 7:18 AM ^
Did Manningham say University of Michigan when they announced the starters? I remember last time he was on MNF he said his high school instead. I was thinking maybe it was because he didn't graduate.
October 26th, 2010 at 9:06 AM ^
The game where he said that I believe was Sunday night on NBC. ESPN did not do the spoken introductions. Plus, Manningham is not a starter at this point - Nicks and Smith are 1-2. Manningham comes in as the 3rd.

Hype Steroids ? He makes our Fred sound like a debbie downer when compared to him!
October 26th, 2010 at 9:50 AM ^
Obviously I'm a pretty big Giants fan, took the night off from homework (wise, I know) to watch the game at my apartment. It gets to halftime, I think, "Gee, I should take a shower now," and of course my dad calls to talk about Romo's clavicle because he missed the hit, among other things. Halftime comes and goes, still haven't showered, so I take a quick one at a commercial.
AND I COME BACK TO FIND MY ROOMMATES WATCHING A RECORDED EPISODE OF DESPERATE FUCKING HOUSEWIVES.
I'm just standing there, in complete shock, and managed to eke out a coherent sentence asking (in the politest way possible) if that was, in fact, a recording. They said, "Yea, but don't worry, we're recording your game for you."
WHAT. THE. FUCK. NO. That's not how that works WE'RE NOT MARRIED WE'RE NOT EVEN CUDDLING PLATONICALLY I HAVE FEELINGS TOO AND THEY ARE TELLING ME IT'S FOOTBAW TIME AND ELI HAS HIS SHIT TOGETHER TONIGHT AND IT'S MNF AGAINST THE COWBOYS AND MY FANTASY GAME IS ON THE LINE AND THAT SHOW IS AWFUL TO BEGIN WITH.
I DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE THIS IS OK. I WILL NEVER FORGIVE MYSELF FOR SHOWERING.
/much needed vent to people who I hope actually understand this sentiment, sorry this was late for caps lock day

In college, stuff like that was enough to start a remote-war. It was an all-out brawl, with the last man standing getting control of the TV. That's what you should have done.
