You didn't answer the OP's question. He/she asked "how many rows are in the upper sections of beaver stadium?". There are not 100+ rows in the upper sections. Also, there really isn't an "east side" or "west side" at Beaver Stadium, as the field actually runs directly NW-SE. I would assume that by "east side" that they mean the luxury box side and that by "west side" that they mean the press box side. Sometimes google is your friend, sometimes its not. Some personal experience with the stadium helps in this case.

Why don't you do some research and notice the numbers that he uses (95 100) before you try make someone feel like a moron. And I'm not the only one who came up with these numbers.

To be completely honest, I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get at here. What research do I need to do?
Also, I have no idea how I triied to "make someone feel like a moron". I was just answering the question presented by the OP. I think you've read way too much into my answer if you think that I was trying to make you feel like a moron.

that is a lot of rows, anyone have experience from that high? does your nose actually bleed?

When I was there in '95, it felt like we were about in Row 872 of the North upper deck. Damn was that cold and windy.
'97 worked out a little better (seats and the game...).

Was that the "Snow Bowl" of 1995? I was sitting with PSU students and the snowball fights were wicked! They were hilarious until some a--hole hit Mercury Hayes in the facemask with a snowball. I threatened to fire one at JoePa and some kid behind me told me he'd beat my a-- if I threw it. Ahhhh, the college years. Good times.

It's an ugly steel and cement thing that rises up like a robot out of the surrounding farmland.

At Beaver Stadium, do they have actual chair-back seats or bleacher seats like Michigan Stadium? I ask because I have an extra ticket that I will keep if the seats are bleacher (more roomy) or try to sell if they're actual individual seats.
October 18th, 2010 at 12:03 PM ^
Both. It depends on where you are sitting. Anything in the "lower bowl" will be bleacher seats. The upper deck sections are (I believe) all actual seats.
bleacher (more roomy)
I'm not sure that I would go with that assumption. The actual seat spaces in the bleachers are as small as, if not smaller than, Michigan Stadium. If you're in the bleacher section you might as well just plan on standing the entire game. There isn't enough room to actually fit everyone who is supposed to be in a row into that row while seated.

Thanks for the info!
I'll be in the Michigan section. Not sure if that's lower or upper deck.

Visiting fan section is on the luxury box side of the stadium in lower bowl (and some in the upper deck for certain games).
October 18th, 2010 at 12:37 PM ^
false -- the upper deck seats I sat in were definitely benches, not real seats. I was wayyyy up at the top in the M visitor's section in 06.
October 18th, 2010 at 12:45 PM ^
Yeah, that makes sense. I had forgotten that the two upper deck sections (i.e. in opposite endzones) were done at different times and that the one in the northwest endzone are bleachers. The newer section in the other endzone is all actual seats. I apologize.
October 18th, 2010 at 12:53 PM ^
no worries -- you are correct though, the large M contingent stood the entire game in the bench seats

Got my tickets from Michigan a few weeks ago..Section NKU..I'm assuming that's Michigan people, no?
October 18th, 2010 at 1:11 PM ^
Yeah, that section is one of the upper deck sections where visiting fans are placed.

If I am not mistaken, visitors will be in sections NL, NLU, NKU. Visited State College for the game in 08 and had a blast. The student section and fans there are crazy loud! Sat in NKU in 08, and only a handful of Mich fans were in that section. The bulk were in NL and NLU. Going again this year and got tickets in NL.

I've heard that up in the topmost rows, the structure can get pretty rickety and sway a little in high wind. True?
