Is the Big House open on Friday Night before a game?

Submitted by TheBigAC on

I will be driving to Ann Arbor this Friday night for the Iowa game and hoped to go to the Big House to take some pictures Friday night when the stadium is empty. Does anyone know if its open the night before a game?

On the day before a game, it is locked.  In addition, police cruisers are stationed outside the gates at the north endzone and the tunnel.  This is for security purposes.

The stadium has been closed on non-gamedays since the construction started.  Now that its over, I hope they'll open it back up after the season ends.

The night before 110,000 people are going to be in it is such a good idea anymore.

But if you want to take pictures in a mostly empty Stadium, go when they open the gates 2 hours before the game.

If you want to convert and become an Aggie, I hear they like to gather in their stadium the night before and practice cheers.  But you can't take Denard, or Hail to the Victors with you.
