For 20 minutes today, it was worse than 34 - 17
Today, I was in the car and had just turned on the radio to check the score. It was about 4:45, Chicago time, so I'm guessing around mid-third quarter. I ran through all the stations, no scores. Finally, I found a station that was rattling off the Notre Dame score. The announcer then said, "Mark Dantonio has returned after his heart attack to coach Michigan State from the press box." I waited for a score - nothing, so I sort of tuned him out. He said a few more things, and then said, "It's now 44 - 0 and they're rolling."
OH MY FUCKING GOD. 44 - 0? I hadn't heard him mention another game or other teams after mentioning Dantonio. A feeling of panic and terror rolled through me. I almost started crying and nearly crashed my car. I frantically ran through all the stations again. Nothing. I then had to drive 20 minutes thinking it was 44 - 0, enduring all the doubts and panic, until I got home to find out that it was really 31 - 17. It was the longest 20 minutes of my life. So when I saw 31 - 17 with 14 minutes left in the 4th, I was RELIEVED. How crazy is that.

Cool. I was at the game and flipped my shit, but I'm not going to start a thread about it.

Yup. And if it prevents the starting of new threads solely for the purpose of sharing inane stories such as that in your original post, I have no problem with that whatsoever.
