A record for Denard to break.
I hate that Juice Williams holds the record for the most yards by an individual in a single game at Michigan Stadium, 431 yards. I am reminded of that every time I see my former college roommate, who is a big Illini fan. As much as I would love to see Denard break it next week, the same buddy is coming to visit and we're going to the Iowa game, and I would love to let him witness in person the breaking of Juice Williams' record. Over or under 2 weeks before Denard breaks this record?

He's gettin' better every week. You better hope (for selfish reasons the blog doesn't support but understands) that MSU's defense is a step up

431 will be his rushing total against Illinois.

I'd like to see him set the record for most career games with 200 yards each passing & rushing. And I think he will.

don't blink, he did that today.

For some reason I thought Pat White had done it 3 times. But I was drinking heavilty due to IU-offense-induced stress

Vince Young had two, but one was in a bowl game.

Boy, that sure is a bold statement *eyeroll*. Seriously, The only other player in history to have two 200/200 games in a career is Vince young (one in the regular season and one in the rose bowl).

He will do it at some point. Maybe not this year, but it will happen eventually.

...to help the D not give up so many yards to opposing offenses.

I'd like Denard to break his streak of having a (very minor) injury in every game -- so far, he's left each of the 5 games (except for possibly the Notre Dame game, I believe) with some injury, only to give me heart palpitations.

He never left the UMass game. He did come out for one play against ND.

I dont think it is that big of a deal to miss a play or two if he is running the ball a lot. Running backs take breathers all the time.

On Denard: "I can't imagine how good he must be in practice playing against that Michigan defense!"

He'll break it next week. Sparty's secondary is awful to begin with and now that they've got to worry about Denard, the passing lanes are going to be wide, wide open. I look for Denard to set a new best in passing - and throw in some nice rushing numbers, too.

is weak sauce, but I don't think DRob will break it next week simply because State will put together 10 minute drives and keep him off the field. I guess you could say I'm pessimistic about the game in general, but I'd have to be a moron to doubt Denard at this point. I can't put anything past him.

We only had 17 min TOP today. 494 yards later = Denard doesnt NEED much time to put up big numbers...

They won't dominate TOP like IU did. Their D is just good enough to not give up as many 50-yard TDs, which means we'll possess it for a long longer, à la UConn.
