Gameday Wakeup Open Thread

Submitted by BiSB on

Another Gameday is upon us.  Let us drink and be, well, drunk.  Reminders:

  • Michigan football plays at 3:30 today against Indiana.  Known to the locals as the "Hoosiers," Indiana plays a 2-1-2 zone in addition to man coverage, and they shoot a high percentage from the field, based largely on their play from the big men inside.  Michigan will need to get some good play from their point guards if they hope to pull the upset... wait, what's that you say?  Football, eh?  Oh.  Never mind. Michigan by a lot.
  • Ryder Cup play continues this morning.  The United States leads 2.5 to 1.5 after the first set of matches.  America, #1.  Love it or leave it.  Stanzi loves him some Ryder Cup play.
  • Ohio State/Illinois and Minnesota/Northwestern (lol Minnesota) at noon, Wisconsin/Michigan State is your "hey, check the score of the other game during commercials" game at 3:30.  Penn State/Iowa and Florida/Bama at 8:00.

Donkeys. Thoughts?

I'm here in Bloomington, well rested after seven hours of sleep. Got in around 1, due to an unfortunate turn in Louisville. Oh well, I'm here now and only Five Hours till Kickoff.

I'm looking forward to Denard going crazy again.  Is it too much to hope the defense can hold IU to 20 points or less?

The Red River rivalry takes place during our game with IU as well.  Too bad.  If Texas gets destroyed again, I want to see it.

No Dantonio for MSU's game against Wisconsin.  Still not sure what to make of that game.  Badgers have gotten plenty of hype but haven't played anybody as usual.  An MSU loss to start another downfall would be nice, though.

3 great games to swtich back and forth from tonight: Stanford/Orgeon, Florida/Alabama, Penn State/Iowa.

Pryor continues to arm punt and make poor decisions and innacurate throws. Buckeyes offense not looking so hot. Although I take pleasure in hoping to ruin a perfect or really good season for them at the end of the year, I wouldn't complain if they implode by losing to the Illini.
