Lloyd Brady T-Shirts?

Submitted by Glen Masons Hot Wife on

Where does everyone stand on this? I would buy one immediately.

Thoughts on design, what it would say, etc?

Would Lloyd be entitled to royalties for using his likeness? Would it affect his eligibility as a student-front row ticket holder?

My apologies if this great idea has crossed MGoBoard already.

Please don't use individuals with down syndrome as a punchline.  Not only is that offensive to many people, but it is in poor taste in general.  I know someone that has down syndrome and despite the fact that he will never get the opportunity to be a student at the University of Michigan, I assure you, he is more of a Michigan Man than you.

I understand that and, in general, find Family Guy to be funny.  That's not to say that out of the 100+ episodes, I haven't been offended by something on that show.  Regardless of my avatar, those comments have no place on a Michigan sports blog, and that's the point I'm trying to make.

This thread has gotten offensive and infuriating.  I'm going to log off of MGoBlog for the night for that reason.  When I log in tomorrow morning, I hope this thread is gone and the person above me has been banned.

Why do I have the feeling we're going to get a sheepish post tomorrow about how MaizenBlueBP's roommate stole his login and started flaming away?

Just got done watching Steve Hutchinson on BTN 'Next Level'.....  May I recommend that for you since you need a lesson or two on what it means to be assoicated to Michigan....

......and those were 1:100,000 odds.

I just happened to be waving a M flag (when they allowed those in the stadium) and a cameraman picked me out of the crowd for a few seconds. Crazy odds.

This "Lloyd Brady" fellow - looks similar to a young version of a great Michigan QB from a few years ago. He doesn't show up in the 100,000+ crowd just once, but several times - different years, etc., and always with a huge "having a better time than you are right now" smile on his face. Still astronomical odds that anyone other than his mother would ever recognize him in a crowd of that size.

I hope he realizes that no one here is making fun of him, but are more astounded that he is easier to find in a crowd of 100,000+ than the infamous Waldo himself.

Somebody needs to track him down, get the ok for the shirts to be printed and then split the profits with the young man. Autographed t-shirts are $10 extra.

Other than the caped SUPERFAN, whose costume can be seen from across the stadium - (and DRob, of course) - this kid is amazingly the most recognizable person in and around Michigan stadium.

If we were to do this, I'd throw the design idea out there of him in the famous hugging Denard pose with the caption Hug It Out. Would buy immediately.

I just don't get the impression that anyone is actually mocking Lloyd Brady.

If it's offensive, and he is somehow able to communicate that to the MGoBlog, then by all means it should stop.

But our intent is not to offend.

This is the same type of situation as the whole "are fake dreads and a #16 jersey offensive?" thread.

We're supporting, if not glorifying, a guy who's had a number of unbelievable and hilarious coincidences that bring joy to all who see them.

How can this be offensive?!  The guy is practically a legend at this point...

Totally honest here- if it was me, and I found out that I was somehow the star of a Michigan blog and people wanted to make a shirt with my face on it, I would be ALL IN FOR LLOYD BRADY T-SHIRTS!

(This isn't even considering the fact that there's been discussion of him being paid for it!)
