Injury Report Per Rivals
Robinson suffered a bruised knee but will play Saturday at Indiana, Rodriguez said. He will be limited Monday, but coaches are hopeful he'll be able to practice Tuesday.
The news isn't as good for redshirt freshman running back Fitzgerald Toussaint. Toussaint, nursing a sore knee, injured his shoulder after carrying twice for 66 yards and a touchdown. He'll be evaluated further this week.
Man is Fitz gonna be the next Minor/Brown where he cant shake the injury bug??? Hopefully its not bad, he seems like he is destined for greatness..

how? wasn't he untouched on both rushes?

If he was untouched on the first rush, he wouldn't have needed the second.

pretty hard on the first carry. Too bad, I was hoping to see what he could do with more PT.

that first tackle brough him down pretty hard on that shoulder. One tackle, one injury... tough luck for the kid.

Was it his shoulder or collar bone that he injured his Freshman year?

He broke his shoulder blade.

Fitz could cut his toe on a Rice Krispie. Man!

As requested:
Rodriguez is hopeful hybrid linebacker/safety Carvin Johnson will do more this week; he suffered a knee injury in the opener with UConn, but the coaches are optimistic he'll play. Linebacker Brandon Herron (ankle) is also expected to do more in practice this week and should play at Indiana.

Thanks MH... but don't quit your job to become a pizza delivery specialist. After all, even Ohio State grads deserve a career.

Fingers crossed. A shoulder injury after two runs, untouched? Please tell me his freshman-year roommates weren't Junior Hemingway and Carlos Brown.

Roger Clemens says you've mis-remembered or Mr. Magoo says you need glasses.

untouched except for that tackle...

Mea culpa. Too much coffee today. Time to log-off and go back to my job operating heavy machinery.
Shame he got dinged on his first play.

That's a bummer about Fitz, outside of his obvious lack of top-end speed (obviously due to his knee not yet being 100%) he looked really good on his 2 runs. Let him sit out again next week so he can heal and unleash him against MSU.
I'm not too worried about Fitz's injuries right now becuase we have a couple guys more experienced than him getting the majority of the carries (and we have the Nard Dog) but I really hope this doesn't persist through the future because he could be very, very good.

Wow....I didn't think fitz got hurt again?! At least its not his knee that he hurt...that would probably have probably been worse to reinjure.

I'd say it's far more likely that he's not going to have much of a Michigan career at all. Some guys just seem to be fragile, and unfortunately for Fitz he's a lock for the Minor/Brown Award for Most Injured Running Back.
