Protégé of the week and other notes

.

With about 4 minutes left in the game, the ND QB throws up a prayer from his own end zone, and it “miraculously” turns into a 95 yard TD

.

People start panicking, and there is a lot of hand wringing about the soon-to-be loss and the missed opportunities and abysmal refereeing

.

UMass goes up 17-7 with just more than a minute left in the half

.

People panic again - and there is a lot of anxiety about App State – Part 2

.

The problem is these people either don’t read THE KNOWLEDGE or are too ignorant to understand THE KNOWLEDGE

.

.

Those who understand THE KNOWLEDGE were completely free from anxiety and knew the result beforehand

.

for THE KNOWLEDGE had clearly noted in the season review that Michigan wins all the OOC games. Particularly, in the pointers provided in THE KNOWLEDGE CHALLENGE-1 before the ND game, THE KNOWLEDGE had clearly stated that

  • Michigan will win
  • ND will lose

.

Those that follow THE KNOWLEDGE shall be worry-free

.

The rest can continue to watch THE KNOWLEDGE soar and bask in glory, while being left behind in a cloud of dust

.

Now, THE KNOWLEDGE shall reveal the inaugural recipient(s) of the prestigious PROTÉGÉ OF THE WEEK award

.

While no one correctly predicted the M-ND score, the following users came closest (1 point off):

  • mgome7 (predicted 27-24 M)
  • Baloo_Dance (predicted 28-23 M)

.

Since this is the inaugural award, THE KNOWLEDGE has decided to forgo the essay contest, and honor BOTH with the award

.

CONGRATULATIONS!

.

these folks can enjoy their amazing awards for two weeks: this week, and last week

THE KNOWLEDGE CHALLENGE will return this week for the BGSU game after taking a week off due to his involvement in certain extraordinary activities

I wonder what it feels like to soar and bask in glory while leaving everyone else in the dust. Only The Knowledge knows.

"Soaring" and "basking" have always seemed somewhat at odds with one another. Soaring requires motion, and basking (at least according to my cat) is a fairly passive activity.

.

My only conclusion can be that THE KNOWLEDGE lives not in the future, but the futureS. Thus explaining how he can both soar and bask.

.

Much congratulations to mgome7 and Baloo_Dance. May they be left in MY cloud of dust as I take the award next and every week.

With all due respect to mgome7 and Baloo_Dance, I predicted 29-25.  So why do they get to soar and bank in glory, while I'm left behind in a cloud of dust?

I think THE_KNOWLEDGE may have only looked on page 1 of the comments.  I dare not try to upset THE_KNOWLEDGE for I do not wish to feel his wrath.  To be a protege THE_KNOWLEDGE would be a dream come true.  I'm sitting here behind this desk looking for a greater purpose.

Hi THE_KNOWLEDGE.  I'd just like to say what a huge fan I am of your program.  I read all your posts and you've done so much not only for mgoblog, but college football.

Michigan wins 29-25.

THIS IS AMERICA!!!

Also, how did you get 29-25?  If 9 and 5 were my super bowl numbers I'd be pissed. Those numbers just don't logically add up, because Michigan would probably need two field goals and a safety, neither of which is very likely at this point.  Even if we took the Lane Kiffin approach it wouldn't work.  And I just don't know about 25.  This isn't the average halftime score of a Wisconsin basketball game

I was going to enter my prediction for the game but since you are The_Knowledge you already know both the outcome of the game and the score that I was going to select. Please let me know if I have won. Thank you.

If Boise St and Michigan actually play for the National Championship I will buy The Knowledge a bengal tiger for his abode, which I assume is either a mansion or a box under an overpass, depending on which extreme The Knowledge prefers to live.

42-31 : I would love to see an actual Defense show up this weekend, but alas we have none. Denard still goes Denard, and nobody beats this dude. He's got the IT factor and he will win games when it's on the line. He is a leader, a winner, and pretty humble for the next superstar of college football. ESPN is hanging all over his nether regions these days,  and it's really nice to see positive stories about our program on national tv again.

Knowledge also claimed Michigan would win all OOC games "comfortably"

Despite this I keep faith in the Knowledge, after all how can he be wrong? Michigan and Boise State are still undefeated!
