Watching in Los Angeles

Submitted by liquidroad on

I was wondering if there is anyone living in the Los Angeles area that knows of a place that will be showing the UMass game?  I know Hollywood Billiards would show the games but it is closed for renovations.  Thanks!

I've come to the conclusion that we must have the absolute dumbest collection of fans on the planet.  Not a day goes by that somebody doesn't ask:

Am I going to get the game in [insert city here]?

Did you people just get the internet?  BTN has used the same god damn system for at least two years.

Where can I find a Michigan Bar in [insert city here]?

I understand the random city every once in a while, people probably haven't asked where you can find a Michigan bar in Bumblefuck West Wyoming. Los Angeles?  There's a sticky and a fucking search option.

Pull it together people.  Respect yourself.

Had either of you looked in the bar thread, you'd also had realized that the Hollywood Bar he mentions under renovation is the one in the Michigan Friendly Bar map for LA. I would imagine that the day before game day realization that your area bar is closed would be enough of an emergency to ask about "Hollywood Bar Emergency Relocation" in a thread.

I appreciate the info, although the links you gave were the reason I made this post.  There is no mention of Los Angeles in the bar thread, and the link to the map in the first post of that thread also lists Hollywood Billiards, whcih I mentioned was closed.  SO while you might think some of our fans are stupid, there i justification to why I asked the question.

If you're a little further south in LA:

Official Alumni Club gamewatch site #2 (after South in Santa Monica) is Sangria, on Pier Ave (Pier Plaza, really) in Hermosa Beach.

Also, Pitcher House in Redondo Beach is an unofficial (i.e. not Alumni Club-sponsored) game watch site - Michigan is always a featured game there.  Typically on half the TVs in the bar.

...that any bar/restaurant/pub etc that has satellite would gladly turn the game on for you, assuming you ordered food, drink and gave a pre $20 tip to the guy with the remote.
