The Observer - Section 32

What a dick.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
Physical assault is ALWAYS the answer.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:04 PM ^
I'm really hoping that is a poor attempt at satire.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:06 PM ^
What a jackass.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:38 PM ^
I’ve been a member of Men Against Violence since freshman year, but section 32, are you serious?
No need for a snarky comment ... he makes himself look like the asshat here.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:50 PM ^
I'm pretty sure this is a joke but whatevs
September 16th, 2010 at 3:53 PM ^
Just another classless fan with that would rather heckle and abuse then watch their team play. Nice job ND.
September 16th, 2010 at 3:55 PM ^
I really hope this is a miserably failed attempt at humor. If it is, then...yikes. If isn't, then...yikes.
I'm pretty sure this is the motto of the entire state of Ohio:
Opposing fans should be physically afraid for their own well-being before coming into our house.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:01 PM ^
he haz it.
FWIW, 98% of the students here would agree with us that the author is an asshat.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
That's just terrible. Fwiw, I sent a letter to the editor expressing my shock that this hack job of a column was allowed to be published. If it is a joke, he needs to go back to freshman English to learn how to write.
EDIT: I wonder if the author is damefan1 of youtube infamy...
September 16th, 2010 at 5:20 PM ^
No way damefan1 is an ND grad.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:19 PM ^
The views of this author do not necessarily represent the views of humanity.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
the "number of arrests" comment, I think the fact that this is an attempt at a joke becomes clear.
But boy it seems a strange way to go about it.
September 16th, 2010 at 4:58 PM ^
Deeply disturbed little person, even if trying to make a joke.
September 16th, 2010 at 5:23 PM ^
I really don't think it was a joke. Ugh.
September 16th, 2010 at 5:25 PM ^
...it's about as poorly done as I've ever seen. If serious, this guy and his editor should face some repercussions from ND's administration.
September 16th, 2010 at 6:35 PM ^
If it's satirical, it's understated to a degree that makes Steven Wright sound like Sam Kinison.
September 16th, 2010 at 5:35 PM ^
Even if this is a joke, which I still don't know it is, the artical should never had been posted. I just don't see how something like this makes it into a paper.
September 16th, 2010 at 6:28 PM ^
The girl that was pushed is actually my ex-gf. It was not a love tap but a real push that caused her to fall over one of the benches.
The author should be ashamed in writing this.
I really don't get upset at very much, but I'm pretty pissed by this article. You never advocate for someone to be pushed in any context, especially a sporting event. Give them a hard time sure, but there is a line that one should never cross.
September 16th, 2010 at 10:20 PM ^
This is one of the most classless and crass things I've read. I'm glad the atmosphere in the Big House is worlds away from this.
September 17th, 2010 at 7:32 AM ^
...to their credit, the Domer commenters have really given it to this tool.
September 17th, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
Either way, not a winner. If the story is true, good for section 32. The fans also ripped him without exception in the comments.
September 20th, 2010 at 8:24 PM ^
that this might be satire. Of course, living in Ohio, this is how my neighbors actually feel about me, so maybe that's part of it.
The fact that the students laid into this guy for going over the line is part of the reason I root for ND when they play MSU and OSU. Always root for class over crass.
