Yeah for sure. Optimism is ridiculous and overrated. Hype videos are stupid because there were a ton of not very good plays that happened between the ones that were included. Psyching yourself up for a game is dumb if you're an underdog because you should never assume you'll beat a better team.

It's good to be happy about being 2-0 but let's take it easy.  If we get to 6 wins before we have any losses then we can be like YAYAYYAYYAY!! but for now, it's like yayy

I know lots of people don't get the distinction, but there is actually a real, fundamental difference between being hopeful and optimistic that good things will happen, and simply assuming that they will happen. As fans, our attitudes have no influence whatsoever on the events on the field. Insofar as the players are concerned, the former attitude is an absolute requisite for success—when coupled with talent, hard work and discipline, those good things are going to happen. The latter attitude is frequently the source of disaster, since it's a close cousin of arrogance and entitlement.

Don't get too far ahead.  Take things one game at a time, and let things play out the way they will.  I will say this: With Denard at the quarterback position we have a chance to win any game we play, I think that is the best thing about Denard (aside from his leadership).  I think there is no doubt we're going to a bowl game this year, it's just whether or not it's in Florida, and whether or not it's before or after January 1st.
