But it got pretty cold here in Michigan, and I was saving a chili recipe for later this year, but it might be cold enough to break it out now. I've been experimenting and havent found an awesome one yet. If anyone has great chili recipes (either chicken, turkey or beef) please post them here!

(This is the white chicken chili recipe i think im going to try:

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Slowly cook and stir the onion until tender. Mix in the garlic, jalapeno, green chile peppers, cumin, oregano and cayenne. Continue to cook and stir the mixture until tender, about 3 minutes. Mix in the chicken broth, chicken and white beans. Simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • .
  • Remove the mixture from heat. Slowly stir in the cheese until melted. Serve warm.

2 - packets of mccormick's white chicken chili seasoning (follow directions on back of packet)

2 - pounds sauteed chicken cut into cubes and seasoned with lawrys seasoning salt and chili powder

1 - 16oz jar of salsa (I prefer HOT)

2 - cans great northern beans (1 - undrained, 1 - drained)

1 - can black beans (undrained)

1 - can of corn (drained)

Throw it all in a pot and cook until hot.

And of course top with plenty of fritos, sour cream, and colby jack cheese.

Simple and delicious.

  • Manwich (1 can)
  • Ground beef (1 lb)
  • Taco sauce (3-4 tsp's)
  • 3/4 cubed Velveeta block (big block)
  • Refried beans
  • Little bit of cayene pepper (can adjust based on how hot you want it)
  • Chopped jalapenos

Beans first, then beef, then taco sauce/jalepenos - mix it together, then add the cheese cubed at the top.  Bake at 350 until the cheese melts and then mix together.  Best dip ever.

Ingredients: 1 lb. small shrimp (30-40 ct. or smaller); 1 15 oz. can of tomato sauce (get the good stuff--it matters); 1/4 cup of diced white onion; 1 jalapeno or red chili pepper, seeded & minced; 1/4 cup chopped cilantro; 1 tsp. chili sauce; juice of 3 small limes; 1 medium-sized tomato, chopped to medium-dice; 2 avocadoes, chopped to large dice; bag of your favorite tortilla chips

Instructions: boil the shrimp in salted water until frim and curled into a C-shape (or just buy pre-cooked shrimp); in a mixing bowl, combine the tomato sauce, onion, jalapeno, cilantro, chili sauce, lime juice, tomato, and shimp; cover & refrigerate 1 hour or more; when ready to serve, add avocadoes, stir, and enjoy
