Eddie George and Tom Dienhart Like our Chances!

Submitted by Croatian_Blue on

Just some news to cheer everyone up from borderline suicide to just simple panic, both Eddie George and Tom Dienhart pick us over Notre Dame

However, they both did say so that our D played well and reminded them of Michigan defenses of old...so now I don't know what to think.

But when a tOSU alum has something good to say about us, it must be made known.

I saw this and it started to make me feel better until I read that part about how our defense played like the Michigan defenses of old.  Huh?

My take:  they saw the highlights on ESPN, so they know Denard is the real deal.  As for the D, they saw the score, saw the UConn offensive numbers and said, "Michigan's defense must have really suffocated them" without ever watching a single defensive play.

I understand Herbie picked us on Mike & Mike this morning. Right after they said both ND and Michigan hadn't come into the matchup unranked since like a long time ago and stuff. I guess they forgot 2007 and 2008.

have forgotten 2008. And 2009.  Had a mini-lobotomy on the '08-'09 vault in my brain though can't seem to remember why. Oh well, it's nice to wake up and see that Michigan football is still cranking along. Hope I didn't miss anything cool ... Oh look at that, Chief must have ripped the sink off the wall and threw it through the window. Oooh, hey now, Nurse Ratchett looks kind of cute in that neckbrace  ...

I happen to agree with the both of them.  We have too much speed on offense for them to stop us consistently.  A solid defense of UConn was only able to force a punt once.  Defensively we just need to make sure we don't give up the big play.  Make ND work for every yard and we should walk out of ND victorious.

and team pursuit was very good. I noticed a huge difference in overall speed on defense from the start of the UConn game. I think they are (will) play better this year based on that alone. Plus having an offense that can consistantly take up 9 minutes each quarter helps
