Va Tech/Boise 2nd Half Line/Open Thread

Submitted by jamiemac on

well, well we have a football game. Should be a fun second half. That Boise +1.5 line, could see that hook come in handy. Interesting. Boise starts the half with the ball. Can they come out swinging like the first half?

Here is the second half point spread, I want to get a mgo strawpoll on it

VT -2.5 over Boise

This is just for the combined score of the second half, plus any OT played. So, if you take VT on this line, you technically have them at +3.5 for the final score.

Thoughts?

Also, there are a couple threads going on this game, both have been pushed to the second page. How about this serve as a new open thread for the second half so new arrivals on the night can find it.

Should be a great second half. Two of my favorite teams. I have to keep from fisting pumping every Va Tech good play because I formally took Boise.

Took Va Tech. 56% of public on Boise yet line moves 4 points in favor of Tech. Some one with a lot of money must know something the general public does not. Might be wrong but I will pay to find out.

jamiemac, i'm moving over here just to demand an answer to my question from the other thread.  In Pick4, what did most people choose for tonight's pick? Did they think Moore would throw an interception or not?

No problem, I was just kidding.  The other thread was getting pretty long.  This was a good idea.

I also took Yes, and I overestimated the offensive abilities for week 1.  I'm worried that I'll be looking at a 1-3 hole to start the year.  There were a couple of almost interceptions that needed to be converted and now they're running out of time.

Eh, i just wanted a straw poll on the second half line

and then I envisioned a third de facto open thread breaking out. i would pass out trying to play in all three, lol

i went to delete the thread because it did seem like the other two were going strong enough. like you said, recent posts. Didnt need the straw poll anymore anyway

I thougth I accidently pressed the delete site buttong or something. Or at least I was scared to death something like that existed and I pressed it. lo

Huge drop by the VT receiver and VT has to settle for the fieldgoal.  That means that BSU can score a touch down and be up by a fieldgoal.  Should be interesting.

If BSU somehow wins this game, was this style enough to impress voters? Assuming they will be outta sight outta mind later on in the season. I say NO

That's kind of a BS late hit call.  Weak whistle by the official and the WR is still running forward like the play is live.  At this point in the game it seems weak to call something of that magnitude.

Interesting series of plays.  No call on the block in the back.  Call on a late hit that was fairly borderline.  No call after the WR spikes the ball after the TD.

Hm.

Field goal? Touchdown? Even my girlfriend is interested in this game. (she is normally only moderately interested in football if it's a Michigan game).
