12pm, 3:30pm or primetime eastern kickoffs?
Hey everyone.. just wanted to get some thoughts on which kickoff time is preferred. I live in PA so i'm eastern time zone. I like the 12pm so i don't have to wait all day to watch Blue. But the exposure from 330 and primetime games are great when we are able to put the beat down on an opponent. I remember a few years back in primetime we played Penn State in Happy Valley and beat them down. I think we knocked out most of their quaterbacks.

As a fan, I'd rather have a noon game. Less jittery time before the game. For away games, I like to sleep in, wake up, grab some food, and plop down on the couch for Gameday and be just in time for kickoff. For home games, I'm so excited to get in the stadium that I can't sit still until 3:30 anyway. Get things started as soon as possible.
For publicity reasons, etc. I like the 3:30 and primetime games, but my stomach eats itself from the inside out when I have to wait that long.

I absolutely agree! And I have a hard time sleeping the night before, so I end up with a couple hours of sleep, up and ready to rock by 7:00 am with a longgg time to be super nervous before kickoff at 3:30.

I just kept cooking Saturday before kick-off. We made WAY to much food for gametime. Luckily this Saturday I'll be in SB tailgating before we invade that knock-off of a stadium.

I generally like 3:30 the best. It gives me time to sleep in, have a lazy lunch, and catch some noon games to get into the zone before the Michigan game. And then, on days when we win, you get to watch all the night games with our score "Michigan 30 - UConn 10" scrolling across the bottom of the screen, and our highlights play on all the halftime shows.

For going to the games, I much prefer noon games. Gotta have time for that post-game nap.

Noon, hands down. I'm with BlockM -- nerves kill me for 3:30 games. This Saturday should be better though -- having a backyard BBQ for all-day football starting at 12pm. A few games of cornhole and some Oktoberfests should pass the time quickly for ND.

I prefer 3:30 if I'm going to the game, and noon if its on tv.
With a 3:30 game, you can take your time and not have to be up at the crack of dawn to get a decent tailgate going. However, you miss the other prime games that happen at 3:30.

noon, without a doubt. For watching on tv, it's not as big a deal. Again, though, I do like having the noon game just so I can watch football the rest of the day and just enjoy it without worrying about the M game.
If the reason we have 3:30 and 8:00 games is TV and publicity, then I'd rather not have any 3:30 and 8:00 games. TV screws up as much as it helps.

The Christmas Day analogy sums up my feelings. It would be torture to make your kids wait until 3:30 to open their presents. (But the night game against ND next year will be really cool.)

Current Season, 3:30 pm. I like having a lazy Saurday beforehand, flipping between the noon games.
Next season: 8pm vs. ND

...Because I work at 6:00am Sunday mornings. It sucks only getting 5 hours of sleep after a 3:30pm start and driving home from Ann Arbor.

Since I start setting up the tailgate at 0600 I love the 3:30 kick-offs (especially in the early months). This gives our group almost 2 tailgates, We got breakfast going - Gameday on the satellite, and then any noon game you want. You start to get a good taste for the day. End up in your seats by 3 pm. Then, you're back to re-hash the game, and get the late games on TV, let the crowd settle down, and have more time outside! Very good. For away games, 3:30 is great too as it allows me to get to the venues easily (living in Chicago most every B10 stadium is 4 hrs or less). Saturday will feel like a home game for me (only an hour and half to SB).

I prefer to be able to go out, do whatever I have to do, come back and watch late afternoon.
Especially like the 3:30 when visitng AA because I drive all day Friday to get there

Is there an option involving games every 3-4 days?
I usually reach my breaking point by 3:30 pm on Tuesday when I've seen every highlight and devoured all the post-game content (with the possible exception of UFR).

I prefer 3:30 whether going to the games or watching on tv. Coming from the West side of Michigan, 3:30 allows you to get to AA and a decent time to tailgate and get into the game early withouth waking up at 5 AM to do so. This is also nice for me as I have a son who plays his games on Saturday mornings. This way, I can watch his games and never miss a minute of the action. Obviously, I have never been to an 8 oclock game at the Big House, but I have been to night games at other venues and the atmosphere is electric. It does suck driving home after a late game though if you live out of town, so you better have a place to crash, but when your team wins during the night, it makes for a great night!

2 weeks ago we were anxious for football, any day at anytime would suffice, now after one week of Meeechigan football we want to air our dirty laundry concerning start times. All yall getting written up.

You get to watch the game fairly early in the day, and you have time to watch some marquee games later on. With 3:30 games, you're stuck killing time watching a bunch of boring noon matchups - and (if you're a ticketholder like me) you don't get to see how they end.
As for night games, I might like one if I'm in attendance. But otherwise, it's just too long to wait for a game.
