2:35 - Denard's TD run.  The right UConn ILB sucks nuts.  I'm sorry, but a better LB doesn't get tangled up with that block and gets into the hole.  Maybe he doesn't tackle DR but he makes him alter his course enough that someone else makes the play.  Horrible LB play.

Sorry, but as a former LB and a LB coach now, that play makes me want to vomit.

These highlights really show how good the blocking was yesterday by everyone.  At the 0:55 mark of the first highlight clip, Shaw blocks UConn's MLB (Greg Lloyd, #95, 259 lbs), allowing Denard to cut inside and convert on 2nd and 14.

Kelvin Grady, who looks like the last player to touch the banner, did a reverse slam on the banner if you watch towards the end of the "Let's Get Denarded" video.

That first video is remarkable. I'm overcome with emotion. Seriously.

Brian, the other day you were trying to sum up why you're a fan. Well, watching that video it just hits you that this is all so important (even though perhaps it shouldn't be). Even the cheesy country song can't ruin the feeling. Michigan could lose the next 11 games this year, and we STILL have that damn video.

So why am I getting choked up? What's this all about? As much as I loathe the guy, I can't help but think about Isiah Thomas talking with Dan Patrick during an episode of The NBA's Greatest Games, watching an old Finals game versus the Lakers. He's near tears and Patrick asks him why, and he say, "You just, wouldn't understand." Obviously, this is not the same. I never took over an NBA Finals game on a busted ankle. But what I'm saying is WE undestand. As Michigan fans, there is the feeling that rises when we watch seomthing like that. And the shit we weren't around for yet (like Anthony Carter's game winner against Indiana), we feel it anyway.

We can't explain it, even to each other, but we all know it's there. Would love if some enterprising fellow could redo the thing with any other song, but damn, it's fine the way it is anyway. Thanks very much for posting.

and I think it's because he's finally getting into his element. Since he's been here, he's been molding and molding the team into his philosophy's image and we are getting very close now. He's got players that have been in the system for 2 years, 3 years; it's finally starting to gel.

Nice to see the congratulatory hug by UConn's Dwight Difton (No. 1) of Denard Robinson at the 8:05 mark.  

Difton played at St. Thomas Aquinas H.S. - and I believe played against Denard in high school (Deerfield Beach H.S.). 

Don't get me wrong, Denard was amazing. Being in the stands and losing my voice in badass seats was amazing. Even better than that? Calvin McGee. He called a great game, and I loved his tempo and surgical strikes.How many 3rd and long plays were excecuted perfectly by both Denard and one of 8 WR's he targeted yesterday? Who's gonna stop Denard on 3rd and one with a QB draw? Nobody. That play is unstoppable, and if ND sells out on that play next week look for a "Tebow-like run and then pass" play in short yardage. How about the screen call near the goaline while UConn brings the house? The fake bubble screen post play refered to above is just sick. I'm sure we've got plenty more where that came from. Go Blue! What a great way to start the season.

How can you not like the guy?  He's humble, credits the O-line, contrite and says things like, "I don't know what you are asking me, can you repeat please?".  He's definitely got the Desmond smile down, and lets hope someday, he gets the Desmond endzone pose down!
