Red Shirt and the Scout Team

Is a Red Shirted player allowed to play on the Scout Team?  I have no particular player in mind when asking this question.

Redshirted players with good potential usually are the scout team. Particular player in mind is fitzgerald toussaint. A friend of mine who works for the video crew at practice said toussaint ripped apart the first team D all of last year until he got hurt.

But they can't play after the mid point of the season, and they must have missed playing time due to medical hardship. At that point, they are allowed to apply for a medical redshirt. If Molk had not played in the Penn State game last season, he would've had the opportunity to apply for a medical redshirt.

Molk has already redshirted.  Only way he could have received a medical for last year is if his first redshirt was also a medical.

You can have two medical redshirts, or one "Back in the oven this one needs to cook a bit more" redshirt.  You can't have one of each.

Any game participation nullifies a redshirt.  If a kid plays one snap, he uses his eligibility for that year.

However, if a special circumstance occurs (injury, mostly), he can apply to the NCAA for a redshirt for that season.
