conference champion predictions/bets

Submitted by DenverRob on

My buddy (nd fan) and I bet every year on conference champions.

Since its saturday and I'm bored, I was curious to think what everyone thought who was going to win the major conferences. My predictions:

B12 OU,     ACC Miami,       BE Pitt,

Pac 10 (USC is DQ) so oregon     SEC Florida

B10 - I will never pick anyone but my team

...disqualified from winning the 2010 Pac-10 title.  They received a two-year bowl ban, four years of probation, loss of scholarships and had to vacate wins in games played in the 2004 season in which Reggie Bush participated and all wins in the 2005 season.

is how many are picking Wisconsin over what would be the odds-makers' fave, OSU. What advantages do they have over the sweater vest and his team?

There's a world of difference between picking them to win the conference and in any way rooting for them. At the moment they look like they're probably the best team in the conference.

Having said that, WIsconsin is a veteran, talented team this year, Ohio State has to go to Camp Randall this year and Wisconsin outplayed them for most of last year's game. I wouldn't be all that surprised to see Wisconsin win the conference.

I think that it is just our hatred that is preventing us from picking osu. we all know their good, we just can't stand it.

Wisky is a really good team plus we have no hatred for them thus people pick them.

Like i said i will never pick against my team to win (takes off goggles, man its bright in denver today)

I think Iowa and Wisconsin have a better shot than OSU this year.

Iowa is overrated... But their schedule is very favorable.Wisconsin is the most solid/balanced team IMO.

Although none will be able to stand against the soul devouring Michigan offense (and serviceable deffense).

I'm surprised Nebraska isn't getting more love (above this post anyway) and Texas is such a popular B12 pick.

Anyone got any sleeper predictions?  I really think Auburn could make a run in the SEC and although I hate to say our Wolverines are a sleeper pick (everyone outside of our fanbase) is dogging us hard.  I believe we have something to prove and we're going to turn a lot of heads this season, letting everyone in college football know that : We're bacccccck

No one picking USC?

They return almost the entire defense and Monte Kiffin will be running it. Plus they get Cal, Washington, and Oregon at home.   No one in that league has more talent. Just like every other year.  Kiffin younger is a good coach. He almost took down Bama on the road last year with way less talent.

They are also playing for the only thing that can get them a trophy this year.

Big 12--Oklahoma

Big 10--Michigan

Big East-- Pitt

ACC-Virginia Tech

SEC--Alabama

My sleeper is in the list and is pretty obvious.
