Did my part
Well, I did my part by emailing MSC, DB and JDelaney. Not sure if it helps, but here was my email. I even emailed some borderline creepy photos of me and the kids watchin the game.
To Whom It May Concern:
I'm sure you are getting quite a few emails these days about possibly moving the Michigan/Ohio State game (The Game). I wanted to share some background about me and my opinion on the matter for what it is worth:
I was born at Univ. of MIchigan hospital. I lived at 515 W. Hoover St. and attended Bach Elementary School. My father was a Linguistics Professor at UoM. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of having people park their cars in our yard and driveway for home games, particularly Ohio State (and Michigan State) games. My brother and I were the only 6 and 9 year olds on the block who made $150 every home game. We attended every game our Dad could get tickets for.
When I was 8 I moved to New Jersey, but came to Ann Arbor every summer and winter break. I played water polo with the Flounders and my Dad and ate lunch at the Union. I used to play against Gene Powers before he passed, because he was so old and I was so young, we were evenly matched!
After high school, I joined my brother at Michigan, where we both graduated with BS in Mechanical Engineering. I wrestled for then Coach Bahr when the current coaches McFarland and Trost were assistants. I'm a member of the alumni association, as is my brother. I now live in San Diego and my brother just over the Mason-Dixon line in Sylvania, OH. I fought with Time Warner Cable to add The Big Ten Network to their sports package and I've payed their ridiculous rates ever since so I can watch every game. I've been back for a handful of games at the Big House, but have mostly gone to the West Coast games (Oregon, Rose Bowl).
With all that being said, I hope you understand my loyalty to the University of Michigan. I'm not gonna tell you anything you don't know or haven't heard already, but I think splitting up Michigan and Ohio is a mistake. Sure, I want to beat them twice a year, every year. But not at the expense of diminishing the greatest rivalry in all of sports! A mid-October game loses much of the luster and drama. Ohio State will become just another BS rivalry game - no more important than MIchigan State or the Brown Jug. And at what cost? Do we make an extra $2 mil a year? $5 mil a year? At some point, the fans and alumni need to be more important than advertising or TV revenue.
Thank you for your time and attention. I hope you do the right thing. If not for me, for the sake of my 2 year old twins (photos from last years Game attached)
Best,
Class of 91'
EDIT: To spare the board more of 'the horror', I've removed the OMG shirtless picture.

I almost pissed my pants at my desk when I read this comment. Very simple, yet hilarious. Thank you.

Hey, in SD, its hot during November and when you start drinking at 8am and taking care of twins, the last thing you are worried about is how high the shorts are riding. Maybe I should have eliminated the 'borderline' part of creepy, but I like the 'Michigan or nothing' idea.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:00 PM ^
Strike through that "borderline." I think it's awesome though. You might have to worry about sending Mary Sue's heart all-a-flutter.
Hope you're enjoying SD. I lived there for three years, had an apartment in Hillcrest and then later up by UCSD. Good times.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:03 PM ^
You should maybe not be drinking at 8am if you're taking care of twins.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:10 PM ^
being homebound taking care of twins and watching Michigan play football last season without drinking. I think drinking at 8am in such situations is a moral imperative.

Please put your picture back up....no homo

care of my daughter and ended up feeding bottles to children. Luckily, the multiplier effect on progeny additionally applied to my hands, so the ratio of hands to children remained the same. Thank you, beer!
August 27th, 2010 at 2:52 PM ^
Nice nipples, dude.
August 27th, 2010 at 2:54 PM ^
Those aren't nipples, they're children.

August 27th, 2010 at 3:00 PM ^
What part of you thought that:
1. It was a good idea to share this photo.
2. You were going to get anything other than grief for posting it here?
August 27th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
the pics if I was too worried about being made fun of on the internets. Mostly I figured the first picture might scare MSC into doing the right thing and I'd get a reply such as, "We'll keep the game the last week of the season with Michigan and Ohio in the same division if you don't send any more photos."
August 27th, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
Wow I mean i didnt read the distortation u wrote in the beginning and just scrolled down to see a practically naked man holding 2 kids which is not what I was expecting obviously.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:02 PM ^
I am literally cracking up at my desk right now from all these comments. Aside from the football-related posts, the smart-ass remarks are what makes this blog so great.
August 27th, 2010 at 4:36 PM ^
You're literally cracking up? Maybe try some skin moisturizer.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:04 PM ^
You sent Jim Delany a picture of you with two kids and no shirt on? If The Game gets moved, I'm blaming you.
EDIT: Good thought removing the first pic. Any way you can still remove it from the emails?
August 27th, 2010 at 3:05 PM ^
to the HOF!!!!!!!!!!
We've got
1) Drinking at 8:00 am and trying to take care of twins
2) Posing half nude and actually posting the picture
3) Hair, hair, everywhere
Drink another one!!!!!!
August 27th, 2010 at 3:08 PM ^

August 27th, 2010 at 3:11 PM ^
on the edit.
sandiego, you rule, dude.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
for not saving that picture. That could have been internet legend, or course, we would have had to photoshop the Michigan off the kids clothes and put something like, Ohio State in its place - but still, Internet legend!
August 27th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
I came too late to see the infamous picture. But I've been cracking up at all the comments here. Well done.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:15 PM ^
I agree boo on the edit...I missed it before you took it down. Put it back up and I guarantee you everyone joins me in a huge pos-bang for you.
It is time for you to ascend the thrown of awesomeness....PUT IT BACK!!!!

August 27th, 2010 at 3:17 PM ^
Seconded.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:31 PM ^
and take the photo down. I could't let something so awesome disappear forever so I did a quick print screen. I'm debating putting it back up but I don't know if I can be that big of an asshole this early in the evening.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:35 PM ^
Some stars burn hot and quick, and that picture was one such star.
August 27th, 2010 at 3:52 PM ^
You can be an asshole hero or a nobody. That's your decision, and yours alone.
August 27th, 2010 at 4:21 PM ^
I think you know what the right thing to do is and im praying youll make it.
August 27th, 2010 at 6:15 PM ^

That was a tremendous letdown. I am almost as disappointed as when Naked Man banner didn't win. Almost.
