Coffee + CTK = day able to begin. Merci!
August 25th, 2010 at 9:33 AM ^
they're a sweet snack!
GO BLUE
August 25th, 2010 at 9:29 AM ^
Ugh. I checked mgoblue.com 20 minutes ago when I left the house and it wasn't up yet. Damn employer blocking videos...
August 25th, 2010 at 9:31 AM ^
However, I can visit MGoBlog. And watch the embedded YouTube vids. So all is not lost.
Single Digits tomorrow!
August 25th, 2010 at 9:38 AM ^
Youtube is blocked for me too :(
August 25th, 2010 at 11:25 AM ^
at least you can see my MSPaint attempt of TRob as Johnny Bravo (his favorite cartoon character growing up).....
August 25th, 2010 at 11:11 AM ^
I have to deal with the great firewall of China AND the company I'm working for blocks websites on its own- pretty much every single blog I try to read. Yet MGoBlog stands untouched. Coincidence?
August 25th, 2010 at 9:30 AM ^
Let the argument continue...

The middle cream makes it a sweet. But the outside cookie part makes it a snack. Most cookies are snacks, but the cream makes it sugary as well. It's like chocolate covered pretzels, what are those considered? Exactly, the answer is both.

RichRod seriously needs to stop recruiting thugs. I mean look at this guy. What a terrible ambassador for the program. /s
Seriously though, has anyone seen a player that is not well-spoken and decidedly unthuggish?
August 25th, 2010 at 9:38 AM ^
But if you tell him he's not a thug and he wants to be at all thug-like, even for image's sake, he might kill you with a look:
(Edit: clarification: I'm sure MRob is a very well spoken, nice young man... he also has a death stare that is awesome)
August 25th, 2010 at 9:55 AM ^
Marvin Robinson is Omar.
August 25th, 2010 at 4:47 PM ^
Omar comin'!
August 25th, 2010 at 8:41 PM ^
I would pay good money for a blue shirt with maize lettering saying:
"SPREAD THE WORD, OMAR BACK"
With the number 3 on the back. Can this be done?
August 25th, 2010 at 9:34 AM ^
I was going to say the same thing. All these kids have been well spoken and seem to really be close.
August 25th, 2010 at 4:48 PM ^
This cookie as snack/sweet issue will surely cause a schism in the team. Mark my words, there will be a team split based on cookie as snack or sweet.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:32 AM ^
is a snack and a sweet.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:08 AM ^
edit: meant as reply to dudeness
August 25th, 2010 at 1:26 PM ^
Hate to actually bring in the definition of words but here goes:
SNACK: "a light meal : food eaten between regular meals; also : food suitable for snacking"
Thus, anything eaten between regular meals is a snack -- including Oreos.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:34 AM ^
A cookie is a sweet. I define a snack as a salt based snack food. Cookies are a sweet which you can snack on, but not a snack (n).
August 25th, 2010 at 9:38 AM ^
So does this mean that a cookie is a snack that is a sugar based snack food? Those Thin Mints/Grasshoppers surely become a snack for me just before bed.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:42 AM ^
Salty = snack. Cookie = sweet. Mostly because a cookie is sweet. If a cookie is not a sweet then what is?
August 25th, 2010 at 10:07 AM ^
Then it's crap you shouldn't eat.
August 25th, 2010 at 10:13 AM ^
Was shopping and saw those on the shelf the other day. Now tell me what those are.
Sweet= Jelly Bean, Worthers Original, York PP, etc
Snack= Cookies, Chips, Cheese Puffs, Beef Jerky, etc.
August 25th, 2010 at 10:16 AM ^
Cinnamon and Sugar Ritz = addicting. Whether that means sweet or snack I don't know but the box doesn't last long in my family.
Love the tag!
August 25th, 2010 at 10:31 AM ^
My five year old wanted them but we had to stick to budget and I thought that the originals would taste much better in soup.....so I went with those.
Thanks for the encouragement on the tag......I don't think it is too popular around these parts. I have dropped about 100 MGoPoints since throwing it on there. Good thing eternity isn't based on MGoPoints........or is it?
August 25th, 2010 at 10:50 AM ^
Well I wouldn't throw them in my soup but we love em with our milk.
The tag won't offend everyone around here. It's only when the posts turn into religious statements (and I don't think your tag should be seen as that.) I've mentioned I'm a pastor and that hasn't bothered anyone. I am hoping to save up all my points though and see if the rate of exchange is good at the pearly gates.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:11 AM ^
I better start participating more if the points count up there. And for the record, I can assure people that my God is not angry and does not hate our DB's!
August 25th, 2010 at 10:39 AM ^
chocolate covered pretzels be then? very salty, yet sweet as well. or a caramel apple, which is definitely a sweet, but you wouldn't consider the apple part a sweet by itself. Or just a banana by itself, definitely not salt-based, and very sweet tasting, but most would consider this a snack.
I love this debate. But I hate the types of debaters that just yell "IT'S A SWEET! IT'S A SWEET!" Sorry to whomever that girl in the video was...
August 25th, 2010 at 11:17 AM ^
To go with His Dudeness, I would say that if it has salt it is by default a snack.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:21 AM ^
I'll tell you what those pretzels are. Those pretzels are making me thirsty!
August 25th, 2010 at 10:40 AM ^
The problem is that the two categories are not mutually exclusive.
August 25th, 2010 at 10:45 AM ^

BTW - This was the best CTK yet. Mike Martin is hilarious. I met him at O'Neils when he was bouncing there and had a nice talk with him about how to hate Ohio State. I told him to teach the guys from out of state exactly how to hate them. I also called him a brick shit house. It was great.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:39 AM ^
Wow Martin definitely looks like the Hulk beside Robinson for sure. Yeah this was the best one so far IMO.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:47 AM ^
Water is wet and all... but Mike Martin is f#@$@#n HUGE
August 25th, 2010 at 10:08 AM ^
No kidding, he looks like he would rip the arms off of Robinson and eat them like a cave man.
No disrespect to Martin of course, the man is just a freaking tank.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:19 AM ^
are Robinson's arms a sweet or a snack?
August 25th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
T-Rob is from my HS alma mater. I was so happy when he picked Michigan and so bummed when he got injured. He truely is a classy kid and a great team mate. I hope he gets the chance to play significant time this year. I would also love to se the wrestling match b/w him and Martin. Of course my money would still be on Roh's Unibrow.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:44 AM ^
..."Michigan Family" t-shirt that TRob is sporting. Messaging people, messaging.
August 25th, 2010 at 10:39 AM ^
I was thinking the same thing!!!
August 25th, 2010 at 11:05 AM ^
I want one.
August 25th, 2010 at 9:46 AM ^
A cookie is a sweet snack
August 25th, 2010 at 9:47 AM ^
Snack vs. Sweet
I don't care what it is, as long as we beat UConn and have a great season
August 25th, 2010 at 9:47 AM ^
this and craig/lewan had me cracking up the whole time! Cookie is a snack, a sweet snack at that! MM is the HULK. That would be too funny seeing them two wrestle.
August 25th, 2010 at 10:06 AM ^
How about those moves T-Rob was putting on in those 1 on 1 drills. That was sweet!
August 25th, 2010 at 10:49 AM ^
Diagnose head position of tackler.
Give opposite side shoulder.
Spin through arm tackle.
The kind of stuff young skill guys should do in daily drills.
August 25th, 2010 at 11:41 AM ^
...like Johnny Bravo
August 25th, 2010 at 12:39 PM ^
GRob was immediately up in Cam's face showing him how to be better with his tackling technique. Hopefully it pays off this year.
