Victory Celebrations and Defeat Coping Mechanisms

Submitted by bklein09 on

So I was wondering what interesting things you guys have done or are planning to do following wins and the rare occasions when we lose?

I don't have any real traditions after wins other than your basic celebratory drinking and such.

Losses usually also result in drinking, along with a desire to consume large amounts of food while sitting on my couch with the blinds drawn. Going to sleep mid-day is usually a popular option as well.

Anyways, when Michigan lost during my undergrad years it usually made school suffer, as the depression was too great to overcome. So I'd welcome any coping strategies that will prevent the same from happing during my masters.

Thanks and Go Blue!

last second victory heroics will involve me running around the house and dry humping furniture while waving my hat slim pickens-dr strangelove style.

No.  Any victory outside of another Baby Seal U will involve said humping.

Then there were the varying degrees of fail.  The dog, the cat, and the wife staked out far corners of the house.  The Noah's Mill can't get away though.

When we win I like to go over the film with a dutchmaster select blunt.  When we lose I usually take 3-4 xanax with a several hour nap, then i'll watch the film and try not to be sick.

When we win, the first thing I do is crank up "The Victors", then the celebratory beers flow, when we lose, I'm a little solemn, reflect o the game , and, usually open some sorrow appeasing beers, and fly the block M at half mast.
