Are there no good looking Adidas Michigan hats? What happened to the simple Navy blue hat with maize block M? If Nike did anything right it was for sure hats.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:12 PM ^
Yeah, those hats look like some sort of off-brand thing you might find on sale for $6 at Meijer. Disappointing.
*goes out and looks for more random shit to complain about*
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:13 PM ^
I agree!! You should check out the New Era Mich hat. Its got the yellow block M. Best M hat i've seen in a while IMO.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:39 PM ^
Hopefully you mean Maize and not this "yellow" I've never heard of.
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:36 PM ^
Catch!! Yes I mean Maize.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:47 AM ^
PANIC- I don't see any wings in the first picture.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:49 AM ^
Well, Tate definitely looks bigger and more cut as, in fact, the whole team does. Whether he practiced or scripted his comments or not they were just right. And, yeah, those hats are...interesting.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:50 AM ^
Im still pulling for Tate to be our starter.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:55 AM ^
I'm pulling for whoever can get us to 8+ wins.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:51 AM ^
I'm sorry but I'm pretty sure Roy Roundtree could've had his own sitcom in the 80s. How can you not like that kid? He's like Webster with game!
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:57 AM ^
Roundtree is quickly becoming my favorite player.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:52 AM ^
Drew Sharp looking at?
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:14 PM ^
He always looks so much like a South Park character.
Except that he isn't very lovable.
August 23rd, 2010 at 4:04 PM ^
Looks like he just smelled his own writing.
August 23rd, 2010 at 11:59 AM ^
It's tough for a kid to admit his faults to the National Media and accept responsibility (most successful adults can't do this). I'm impressed.
About the hats, I like them. They are different, but I think they look cool.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:01 PM ^
likes to hit people. "Really fucking hard." (Maybe it was a "fricken" but I hope not.)
Plus interesting comment about Big Will using his weight and Martin using strength and speed.
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:07 PM ^
... that was awesome! I also loved it when he asked the interviewer to clarify his question.
Thank goodness Molk is healthy. I think he will anchor a great offense.
Here's his F'ing good line about why he likes to play football:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqYz8jrdDn4#t=01m10s
(right click or it's lightboxed and the jump is stripped out for some reason...)
I can't F'ing wait for Sept 4th!
P.S. I think this board is about to roll over 600,000 comments!!!
August 23rd, 2010 at 3:10 PM ^
I love that quote. Molk is going to have a great year. I know there is a Hulk likeness T-Shirt for Martin, but I just think the nickname "the Incredible Molk" has a great ring to it.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
It was excruciating to watch those videos on MGoBlue.com. I went in the other room, did some stuff, came back, and it was still loading -- was that the HD format?
August 23rd, 2010 at 7:54 PM ^
Yeah, I don't think they have the bandwidth to release 10 HD videos on the same day. It's funny that they have a HD camera but no microphone windscreen. The Mike Martin interview is almost unwatchable because of wind.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:16 PM ^
No really... Those hats are bad..
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:17 PM ^
Tate owning up is a good sign on maturity.
Man I have been on the look out for the last two years for a good hat and it doesnt look like I am getting closer with that one either.
So pumped for the 4th! Go blue baby!
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:34 PM ^
is the ability of various freep writers (who seem to hate the program) to go to these events. how could you even show your face at U of M anymore? it's like breaking up with your gf and then showing up at her parents' house for dinner, repeatedly, and even asking for seconds.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:38 PM ^
all while getting drunk and hitting on her 14-year old sister while she's alone in the kitchen.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:48 PM ^
is pos-bang day!
I want a frameable copy of the picture of Tate in the "Ewww, it's Drew Sharp!" pose. Isn't "a picture worth a thousand columns"?
August 23rd, 2010 at 2:04 PM ^
Especially when you take into account that MSU is the metaphorical 14yo sister.......
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:41 PM ^
Simpler would be better.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:34 PM ^
I just realized something--wasn't it one year ago at Fan Day that Rosenberg waylaid Stokes and whoever else that was about StretchGate 2009?
In light of that, I'm almost surprised RR allowed anyone but upperclassmen to be available.
August 23rd, 2010 at 6:31 PM ^
No true frosh interviews though. That is very telling.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:35 PM ^
Mouton looks like a MAN. Here's hoping he plays linebacker as fierce as he looks.
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:31 PM ^
"What's your favorite place to eat on campus?"
You've got a guy giving you intelligent insight into Michigan football and you blow 15 seconds of an interview with this question?
What's you favorite color?
August 24th, 2010 at 12:21 AM ^
Seconded... when he said the D is going to have a breakout year... I believed him. I have a whole new Jonas Mouton in my head now. Fierce.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:35 PM ^
From the look on Rosenberg's face, it is quite apparent that the University of Michigan is the last place in the world he would prefer to be, unless he had just bitten into something extremely sour. I guess it serves him right to have to remain on the beat. The only thing that would entertain me more would be if a new editor came in, trying to save the paper, and ordered Rosenberg to write positive things about Michigan. I would love to see his facial expressions then.
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:27 PM ^
I think he looked annoyed at the other interviewers or with the fact that he was having a hard time getting his questions in there. More like a "jebus, would you shut up" face.
Or maybe just annoyed that he looks like such a nerd next to Forcier.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:40 PM ^
"How do you feel about hitting people like Mike Rosenberg?"
How I wanted the question to end that way.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:46 PM ^
priceless. Tate couldn't look more uncomfortable with Sharp and Sharp couldn't look anymore like a jerkoff. I also loved the interview b/c Sharp is trying to draw some more controversial statements out of Tate and lil' man handles himself like a pro giving Sharp nothing but positive comments - looks like no article about UoM from Sharp this week.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:49 PM ^
pepsi. I mean look at those nostrils. Like a vacuum cleaner.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
I see nothing wrong with Rosenberg's hair.
August 23rd, 2010 at 3:59 PM ^
My friends who are of the chosen people would call it a jewfro. Albeit a pretty weak one.
Not Fletch's 'fro, I mean Rosenberg's weak excuse for a coif.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:51 PM ^
Brian needs to get rid of that jibberish under the banner. Panic? Sure doesn't seem like any of these boys are panicing. I think big things are gonna happen this year and a lot of people are going to be surprised.
August 23rd, 2010 at 12:58 PM ^
J.T. Floyd - "I just spent a lot of time this summer perfecting my craft." - He is a great speaker. Hopefully, after a long, successful NFL career, I could definitely see him in broadcasting.
Mouton/Martin - both these guys look like they could pop off my head and eat it for dessert.
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:15 PM ^
There are a bunch more on Youtube.
RVB, Roh, Grady, Ezeh, Brock Mealer, etc..

...And the "No Homo" quote of the day goes to Ryan Van Bergen:
"I like having Mike inside me"
August 23rd, 2010 at 1:16 PM ^
Yeah, that's odd.
August 23rd, 2010 at 2:30 PM ^
for posting these videos, since they are unwatchable on mgoblue.
August 23rd, 2010 at 3:06 PM ^
Mouton, with his size, skills, plus the beard reminds me of Dhani Jones. This is a great thing!
August 24th, 2010 at 12:08 AM ^
Isn't the only badass on this team. If he were, he would be badass enough.
GO BLUE
August 24th, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
I was very impressed with his interview. He seemed to be very genuine owning up to his mistakes and looks like he really is putting the work in to compete.
