An interesting encounter at the Swamp
I recently helped my uncle move, who's a law student now at Florida (U-M undergrad), and I had really desired to get a view of the Swamp. He drives me down there, and I spoke with a groundskeeper of the stadium, who just so happens to bleed maize and blue, as I try and get a view of the stadium.
I ask him "How do I get into the stadium, sir"
He responds, with a sly grin "This is not THE stadium. That's in Ann Arbor"
We proceeded to talk about our expectations on the upcoming season, who might end up getting the starting job at QB, and how we both felt the RR regime would eventually work.
It's nice to see some U-M love in Gainesville, FL.

That's why Michigan always touts the "largest group of living alumni". It never ceases to amaze me how I might run into another Michigan grad in the middle of nowhere. I ran into another Michigan person at the Hiroshima museum in Japan!

when I went on a campus tour of UF (with my cousin, who lives in florida and was interested in going there), one of their biggest selling points was the "Gator Nation" where you could go ANYWHERE and find tons of other alumni and how they were so widespread.
This story is hilarious to me, because of that fact. Gator Nation < Maize n Blue World

a pretty place. But they make some noise there. Never been to a game, but I felt the town rocking many times while I did my doctoral coursework there. And in case anyone is interested, one of my natural resources profs once told us that more water is used to keep the grass green there than the entire city of Kabul consumes in any given year.

I completly agree that he won't be able to run every DB or LB over in the pros. But I hope he learns it from coaching/teaching rather then experience and end a career.

U-M grads are everywhere, was in Mumbasa, Kenya and was in a nearby village to see a music festival. Got to talk to the local chief during the festival and he found out I was from Michigan, and he said he was a grad from the School of Law. Never was in to football, but said he missed the snow.
