Troy Woolfolk Is Probably Pretty Hurt Comment Count

Brian

doom Time to dig out the "just jump already" tag: this forum thread may be annoyingly phrased but does

  1. indicate Troy Woolfolk just got badly injured, possibly in a season-ending fashion
  2. come from a guy with a two year old account and a track record of dropping information people are skeptical about.

Also apparently Sam Webb has it on Scout.

Current corner depth chart:

1. JT Floyd / random freshman
2. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

I guess Woolfolk can redshirt. So there's that.

UPDATE:

Statement from Michigan Head Coach Rich Rodriguez

Troy Woolfolk suffered a lower body injury during practice this afternoon and was transported to U-M Hospital with our team physician. We can’t comment further due to medical privacy rights.

UPDATE II: Getting reports it is a dislocated ankle, which is in all likelihood season-ending.

A lot of zone coverage in our future. Cover 3-do-not-get-beat-deep kinda stuff where they nickel and dime their way down the field, while we hope that they screw up in a big way.

Great.

As long as we find a way to cove a wide receiver screen, as I throw up thinking about the MSU game and them running a seemingly endless stream of them, gaining 6-12 yards a pop.

I'm not going to hit the PANIC! button just yet, but is it too late to browbeat the UM admissions office into admitting Demar Dorsey?

Pretty, please?

Tony Anderson is a walk-on from Redondo Beach.  I actually sat next to him on his flight from LA just prior to the start of fall camp in 2008 (we started talking because I was wearing the M hat).  Great kid, well-spoken, was incredibly excited about RichRod and convinced he would see the field soon.  I've noticed him a couple of times since on special teams, but never at corner.

This is insane, #&U^$, when can things go even a little bit right.  I just don't know, after being optimistic for a while I am not really worried about the D.

Please let the offense fire on all cylinders such that this becomes moot.  Please let the D-Line and linebackers play with such ferocious desire that opposing QBs have no time to victimize our depleted secondary.  Please let the next Charles Woodson rise and terrorize the Big Ten in his freshman year (I'm looking at you, Cullen).

Also, just please.

[I fear we may be dealing with the result of a deal with the devil.  Nearly 40 years of success.  Most of us are too young to remember a time when Michigan was this low.  I just hope two years of suck and pain are enough to satisfy the karmic debt.]

GET OVER IT!  YES IT SUCKS BUT GIVE ME A BREAK!  THE COMMENTS THAT ARE BEING MADE ARE JUST RIDICULOUSLY STUPID!   WE WILL MAKE DO WITH WHAT WE HAVE EVEN IF WE ARE FORCED TO PLAY FRESHMAN!  WE PUT PRESSURE ON THE OPPONENTS QB, WE COULD LOOK LIKE WE HAVE A STELLAR SECONDARY SO START WORRYING ABOUT OUR D-LINE GETTING PENETRATION!   IT'S BEEN A GIVEN THAT WE HAVE TO OUTSCORE PEOPLE AND OUR D IS A YEAR BEHIND OUR O SO WHAT'S NEW?!

THE TEAM, THE TEAM, THE TEAM!

PS.  WOOLFOLK GETS A RED-SHIRT AND THEREFORE WE ARE THAT MUCH STRONGER NEXT YEAR FOR IT!
