NCAA 11 Dynasty Progression Fix Out Today
Anyone who put their dynasty on hold(like me) because the progression of recruits and CPU recruiting was broke. Well there is now a live tuning pack that came out today to fix these issues. A patch will come out in a few weeks that fixes the jerseys not getting dirty during games and a few other bugs.
Hurray! The Game isn't broke anymore!

Now, if only I had money...
Two things I still don't like:
1) In the recruiting section, every week the list of players I rank gets changed automatically to some random order. Like I'll have 3 MLB recruits in the top 5 in the next week after I'm through with a game. If anybody has fixed this please let me know.
2) For whatever reason, defensive ends are like cheetahs from sideline to sideline. I try to escape the pocket with Denard and it's crazy how quickly the ends can run you down from behind.
1) Not exactly sure what you mean here but I think you may have the CPU running your recruiting board. You can go to the Coach Philosophy menu (I think it's under Team Management) and turn CPU assistance off.
2) Try lowering the Speed Threshold - I have mine at 25 and it seems to be working out pretty well.
Thats a great point. Turn off all recruiting CPU help if you want full control. Thats how I have mine. I bet that is your issue.
This is definately the issue, I usually switch it back on during the last 2 weeks of the season that are just bye weeks (and I already have all of the recruits that I want). The reason that it is moving the players is that it sorts the recruits by Interest, with that being everyone that has you as their top school and so on.
I haven't had that issue you talk about with point 1. My recruting board is always the same every week. I can move dudes around and it sticks.
They did mention that they downed down the DT and DE athleticism. So they were weren't knocking down so many passes out of sky. This may help in the running game. Also try messing with sliders.
Turn recruiting board assistance off. If it's on the CPU will mess with your board, as others have said and as I realized when a bunch of people that had no interest in me were added mysteriously.

1. Never had this issue (I'm on PS3)
2. Yup. That's been true for a long time. It was horrible in NCAA10. It's actually much improved this year. You can also tweak it via the new slider that controls the variance of player speed.
Hooray! Anyone want to start a dynasty?
EDIT: As in, I am making one...who wants to join? Xbox.
The game was "bwoke"?
something like that. The last NCAA I had, '09, I had CPU assistance on but that only effected the spots after the players I've chosen to recruit.
Anybody else notice how the computer cheats a bit by the goal line? If I'm on like the 3 yd line and about to score, the computer somehow knows whether or not I'm running or passing regardless of keeping the same formation. I'll run a shotgun spread formation and one time choose a run play and the computer deploys a 5-2 front but then I still use the same shotgun spread formation only choosing a pass play and all of a sudden the computer is using a 3-3-5. I've found if you choose a PA pass they stick with the 3-3-5 and then just hold A to hand-off and it works like a charm.
Yeah, one of my big complaints with the series for years has been the psychich defense. I don't know why EA doesn't create some playcalling algorithm based on down, distance, and play style, but I often have to audible to stuff like quick throws or verticals to beat the D's cheating.
Options work well, not the read, but the triple, load option (!) or the speed option have worked really well for me (as Michigan)
Formation audibles are your friend.
How do I download it?
Anyone know if this fix will work on in-progress dynasties? Or do I have to restart the dynasty all over? Sorry if this is mentioned in any of the links, but I'm at work and can't access any of those sites.
It will fix the in-progess dynasties, but not until the next season. So it will not affect the current season you are on or any of those recruits.
You can keep your current dynasty. It will take effect on the next recruiting class and help your current class(this class will still come in lower) and players progress better.
Q: Will I need to restart my Dynasties for these changes to work?
A: You do not need to start your Dynasty over, these changes will be applied to all Offline and Online Dynasties after you download the file. Dynasties that are past years 4 and 5 might take a season or two before everything is back on track.
Thanks for all the responses guys. It's nice not to have to start over again, since I already had to restart once after Denard transferred even though he took 75% of the snaps for me.
Does anyone else have trouble with the man coverage alignments in the 3-3-5? If the opponent has more receivers on the right side of the ball then my safety lines up damn near on the defensive line instead of in front of the receiver....and always gets beat.
Anybody else see an increase in fumbling after patching?
I applied the patch yesterday and all of a sudden Fitz T is a fumble machine, Gardner throws it over receiver's heads ALL the time, and has also become a fumble machine, and speedy DEs are completely unstoppable like they were back in NCAA 05-ish.
I played two games of my dynasty last night after patching, and I swear I averaged 4 fumbles a game.
It seems to me like I fumble a lot too -- especially with Odoms and Smith; but I don't even have the patch.
I think it was Pasta Padre that said they are actually going to make it so the quarterbacks don't fumble as much, but it might not be until the actual patch gets released in a few weeks.
I know in my Michigan dynasty it was always the backup quarterbacks that fumbled constantly, whether it was Denard or Devin Gardner after his redshirt year.
My favorite part of the Dynasty pre-progression fix was that Devin Gardner was the highest rated QB in the game his RS Senior year. But I also had to put it on hold after 5 years so I'm glad it's fixed.
