Pick one 2010 M Game

Submitted by 931 S State on

If you could only go to one Michigan game this year, home or away, which game would you choose to attend?

Right now I'm leaning towards State for various reasons, but mainly to see the renovations.  However, I've never been to Happy Valley either and that one is intriguing.

Been there.  If I go to a road game I'd rather cross another Big 10 stadium off the bucket list than go back to that shithole.  Although, the singing of the Victors ringing throughout the concourse at the 'shoe in 2000 was one of my favorite moments as a Michigan fan...but the harassment during the events prior to the game itself outweighed it.

Definitely the MSU game. It could go either way, but it should be a great game. And if we win the fans will be going crazy.

I would have to go with MSU this year.  Over the past two years, I have found away games to be really exhausting.

Don't get me wrong, I plan on visiting every Big Ten stadium multiple times throughout my lifetime. But right now, I would rather be amongst the rest of the Michigan faithful.

A win @ND or @OSU would make me totally reverse this statement however.

Agreed regarding being amongst the M faithful, against a rival, and in the renovated stadium to boot..  As for the rivalry road games I've been fortunate to experience victory in South Bend (06) and Columbus (00).  0-1 in EL though (99).  Getting a ticket for Sparty this year will be tough/expensive.

Just waiting for my tix to arrive.

I'll be going with my brother, who's a prof up at MSU, so this will be interesting. He'll root for the Sparties, but he's not a big Dantonio fan; he basically thinks MD's a meathead.

There is a lot of payback on the way and I would like to get a first hand look at the MSU fan's faces and hear their immediate comments.  They really do believe that they have an awesome team and that our team sucks and seeing true heartbreak from them will feel good.

Michigan State.  I have absolutely no interest in ever going to a Michigan game at Ohio St.  They scream and swear at elderly ladies wearing Michigan gear (I have heard two personal stories on this issue) so I don't want to have to put up with B.S. like that while I am stressing out over a 3rd and long in the 4th quarter.

The MSU game is going to be crazy intense.  But I'm going to have to say Ohio State, only because that win, in there place, would be so so so much sweeter.

Surprised that nobody mentioned that game on September 4th.  I believe that this will be a HUGE statement game, and who wouldn't want to be on hand for the game that showed the rest of the world that the Wolverines are on their march back to glory?

That one is my #2 choice next to State but I have already have a ticket for LSU/UNC @ the GA Dome so it's out.  I think the UConn game is gonna be a very tough ticket too so that's swayed me away from that one as well...not that a good ticket for the State game will be any easier.

I like to go to the games I know Michigan is going to win, I live up in GR so between the ticket prices, the hotel, the parking ect.....I like to make sure I am not about to waste my money.

Also when it comes to big games I honestly like watching them at home, The best seat in the house for really watching a game is going to be off a TV.

Plus I swear like a  fiend, And the last thing I want is to start popping off at the mouth in front of a kid and have to get in it with the kids dad.

With all that said I am contemplating going down for the UCONN game. I don't know if work will alow that to happen though.

Just because I live in California and it would start the season off on a good note for me. This team will not lose the home opener in their new super big house to some buttwipe team. Plus I miss going to games with my brother and I can always count on the weather being fantastic at the begining of September. One thing I hate is being drunk in the rain or in the cold. But, that is just me.

I'd go with Connecticut.  Win that one and there is hope for a solid season; lose it and the questions will start.  Plus, season openers are always fun.

Because I love beating them after they chant "we are Penn State" all day...to see that in happy valley when we go in with hopefully a 6-1 record at least..night game....(I sat amongst many of their fans when manningham caught that pass to end the game...that was a good feeling, I can't stand those chumps.)

I am so tired of hearing their goddamn fans and those assholes Valenti and Caputo....every....fucking....day.  We not only need a great season, but we need to lay a good, old-fashioned ass whoopin on Sparty and put them back where they belong.

God I despise those sons of bitches.

I can't stand their fans and how they think they own the state in recruiting too.  I can't wait to start that winning streak against them again.

I do not want to be walking down North High street if we lose to Ohio State. I've already had beer tossed at me, bottles and cans thrown at and tires slashed after going to the 2008 game. I'm psyched for the MSU game though! That little two year streak ends this year.

I would go with MSU, I think this season being deemed successful or not for UM will come down to it, looks to be the most important game of the year imo

It's the first time I'll have been to an MSU game at Michigan Stadium and I already know how crazy it is going to be in the crowd come gameday. I would love to go to the Ohio State game though to be honest but they have just made it so horrible for really any fan to go and cheer for their team. I have really never seen a more asshole fan base than Buckeye fans in college football. Yelling at elderly people in Michigan clothes, kids, women or men it's out of control down there come the day of "the game"

I'm gonna go to a road game at OSU wearing OSU gear above some UM gear. That way, if we lose, I make it out alive, and if we win, I rip off the OSU gear to reveal myself and either 1)make a run for the exits, or 2)die a happy death

Or I might just go in UM gear to begin with, I don't know. I'd like to experience it once though.

EDIT: the wearing OSU gear thing was a joke, for you neggers who didn't get it. I thought the final line might have made that clear. I guess not.

UConn is my game this year. I want that commerative ticket and to be at the dedication game. Also, I plan on that being Michigan returning to being Michigan.

Gotta be the Sparty game. Knock on wood, we could be going into that game at 5-0. If thats the case and a win gets us a bowl... and I win a few bets, damn straight that would be it.

The uconn game is huge. Not only will it be the biggest football game ever (attendance), but we will learn the most about what our team has to offer.

We really need to come out and trounce uconn for the stadium dedication.

UConn and Ohio State are tempting, but I dont want to be at the Shoe with those idiots, especially if we dont win. Uconn for the Stadium rededication would be fun, especially since it will be a statement game for us. I will stick with MSU though because I think this is the most important game of the year. If we can win that game and be maybe 5-1 or 6-0 going into the tougher part of our schedule, were in good shape for a decent bowl. Not only that, I am sick of Sparty fans bragging that they are now the dominant football program in the State. (especially when they lost to Central Michigan). As Bo would say, we need to return things to their proper place.
