But can't divulge until he's named. The pick will surprise people. Some will love it and some will hate it.

Are people really that cheap that they can't pay $10/month for Scout's recruiting services? People will blow through $10 on a meal or a few beers as it's nothing, yet paying $10/month is like a way too extravagant expense. This needs to end; people need to quit taking Scout/Rivals articles and posting a thread hoping to fish out free info. Go to another board if you want to do this.

they sell information that will be available for free a few days later. if no one leaks it here, i'm perfectly willing to take a few days in order to not be jerked around by halfwits looking to make a buck. their real value is in recruiting rankings, but i bet you could make your own equally good proxy based on offer sheets.

the accuracy of which is not exactly clear? if all i do is wait, Tom and Brian bring it for free. i have a good time when i read Tom and Brian. i have a shitty time picking through those crap sites. and if it didn't exist, i'd go back to my life before i knew which recruits were kind of a big deal.

I'm just saying, people pay for a service or a product. People like Brian and Tom rely, at least partly, on information from those sites to do their jobs. Without those sites, perhaps nobody pays attention to recruiting. Without recruiting information, I bet fewer people would pay attention to this blog. Etc. Etc.

I just think it's kind of odd that people would bash the products that fuel 50% or more of the discussion on this blog. Sure, they're not 100% correct all the time, but we wouldn't be nearly as informed without them.

I promise.

If those sites didn't exist, this blog would not be what it is. Therefore, you might not subscribe to this blog, because everyone on here would be less informed and all Brian would have to base his blog on is the mainstream media, his inside sources, and his own eyes/brain.

Like it or not, those sites have greatly expanded the knowledge of what used to be average fans.

The question is when do they think this will be announced? I want to know so we can get this done already. I am starting to wonder if RR is waiting until right before signing day so players don't leave since it is too late for them to switch.

Could somebody inform us what's up with this? I have a Rivals account, but not Scout. Other than people hinting that Greg Robinson is hanging around Ann Arbor, I have no idea what is being talked about or if that's the extent of it.
