It's a video like this that truly captures the greatness of sport, and the reason why so many of us keep coming back.

Yes, sports may occasionally cause us agony and heartbreak, but that moment of euphoria shared with our friends and family, or complete strangers from far and wide is a thing of beauty and will never get old.

No question that it is a great video and gets me pumped.

The only thing I wonder is how come so many people get to spend a Wed. morning at the bar?  Don't people work?

I tell you what, if AT&T were really, really slick, they'd take that commercial where the first 15 seconds of it are a total invasion into some dude's very worried-looking-slowly-turning-excited personal space, and splice in the footage from the Donovan goal.

I hope the team sees that.

What a great group to get to root for: non-flopping, hard running, physical, somewhat-talent-deficient, and gritty.

Let's keep it rolling.

The "some dude in Arkansas" guy was totally me except I was in South Bend visiting my parents and my partner was on the phone with some dude explaning to him why we couldn't be at our house for him to come measure our countertops.  After spending the entire game being 3 parts pissed off and 7 parts frustrated that goal was fucking magic.  My screams of elation caused the dude on the phone to drop all professional pretenses and inquire "what happened" until my partner could calm me down enough so I could explain.
