Edit: I really wish I knew how to embed the video. I really need to learn these internets.
switch back to plain text to embed.
I've watched this like 10 times, and it makes me excited every time.
Credit to Howard for a beautiful throw to set that up.
Howard cleared it immediately and put it where Donovan could pick it up without breaking stride, setting up the 4 on 2. You have to like those odds.
Howard's contribution to this play was just as important as LD's goal.
T-T-T-TIMMAAAAYYY!
Amazing goal. It feels good going into elimination play ahead of England. Although Ghana and Germany will be tough to beat.
is who we are hoping for.
Outcomes to cheer for:
>Serbia win coupled with anything besides a tie in the other game.
>Serbia tie coupled with Germany loss.
Both get us game against Serbia. Obviously anyone will be tough from here on out, but I would like to avoid Germany at all costs.
Overslept dammit....Thanks for putting this up. USA USA USA!
glory
how 'bout the pass to get that play started by Howard.
How long did that ball just sit there in the crease? An hour? Weee!!
I love watching the race between the Algerian goalkeeper and Landon Donovan. A second later and the goalie would've gotten it.
I think the announcers on the Canadian feed (CBC) are far better. One of the best phrases I think I've ever heard after that goal, and honestly, it should be Michigan's motto for the upcoming season or something:
"From hope, there is glory!"
If I could find it on youtube I'd post it.
Congrats to the team for finding a way to make this happen! They deserve it.
Go USA Soccer!
What's annoying is that I was watching the World Cup at the time. I spent most of my time watching our game, but occasionally flipped over to the England-Slovenia game. I switched right when Howard made the save, thinking there'd be a brief lull in the action - only to hear, seconds later during the England game, "England fans are celebrating and so is Landon Donovan, who just scored for the U.S." D'oh!
For those that play FIFA World Cup game.
We will continue.
Just couldn't manage to play hookie from work today.
Vuvuzelas never sounded so beautiful.
GO USA
Im not a fan of soccer but that was pretty sweet.
