I'd say the original Tom Harmon jersey, duck tape and all.
I'm not a jersey kind of guy, but an early 1900s throwback with a 98 has a place in my closet.
I want a Rose Bowl jersey, from the 90s (probably) when they had the big roses on the shoulders. Year or player doesn't matter, I just thought those were always such cool jerseys.
Charles Woodson 97 Rose Bowl jersey
A bit unorthodox, but I'll take a John Kolesar #40 jersey.
I own that one. Great jersey to have.
The 90's script-Michigan maize hockey jersey.
Same here. That hockey jersey always was and still is my favorite Michigan jersey.
2nd choice (after the script maize) for a hockey jersey would be the home white from the mid 80's - early 90's... the ones with the blue shoulders... preferably a Warren Sharples or Denny Felsner.
My girlfriend got me that jersey for valentine's day 1997. I married that girl.
My wife won that jersey in a drawing at a GLI torunament game in the mid 90s. One of us often wears to alumni stuff and people love it!
An Anthony Carter "Tear-Away" Jersey.
Boubacar Cissoko hands down.
[edit] Good job people that negged me, how could you even think I was being serious? Pull the stick out of your butt.
We knew you weren't being serious, you're just not funny.
My apologies then. I'll try harder next time.
thats what she said
I wish they would still use the late 90s early 2000s away jerseys with the block m's on the sleves. Those were the best away unis we had. I liked the old home jerseys from the 90s too with the bigger holes. I used to have an Amani Toomer one
Off topic from this post, but I saw the wolverine stickers on Desmond's helmet and can't help but wish the University would somehow incorporate the wolverine in to more of our apparel. I wouldn't mind seeing the wolverine mascot on the jersey pants instead of the block M.
An actual mascot wouldn't be all too bad neither. Personally the wolverine symbol is too BA to not use IMO.
i was gonna post that! Yeah I really like that logo, I think I have a shirt with it. They used that a lot in the 90s, also with the wolverine crawling across the M.
Gerald Ford's.

Either his Michigan jersey or his Team USA one.
Il take early 90s road unis (Desmond)
A 1989 Glen Rice basketball jersey.
I have always wanted a maize Webber jersey. Also have always wanted to get Woodson 97' Rose Bowl jersey. It would be really cool if i could get my hands on my grandpa's jersey when he pitched for Michigan way back in the day.
I own a warm up shooting jacket from the Fab Five era (Nike) which is pretty cool for wearing to various Michigan related events. They were sort of understated back then.
I always thought the maize jerseys were cool.
I have looked everywhere for maize authentic shorts from the Fab Five era. The block M on the waistband to go along with the huge block Ms on both legs and baggy as shit....I would love to find a pair that wouldn't cost me $100. Don't worry, I have even combed the salvation army's around the area also just in case someone was dumb enough to give a pair up.
I was just driving around town a few summers ago and decided on a whim to stop by the Salvation Army on State Street for exactly the same reason. I just thought "I wonder if they have any Fab 5 shorts."
And, to my shock, I found a pair of BOTH the maize and the blue Fab 5 shorts. In my size. Combined, $6. They were the pre-Nike DeLong version, but I'm not going to complain.
One of those little moments of serendipity that makes life worthwhile.
The Fab Five's uniforms actually weren't made by Nike or DeLong, but by Russell Athletic.
But I own those shorts and the jersey. See that was before Nike (well jersey) even made them. I think the shorts are Nike, as I got them a year or two later. Bought them at Moe's before they moved down town. They used to be right there on State St. I believe. They are currently framed, as this was of course many years ago and they don't fit me. But I would love a Rose Bowl jersey from the 90's.
Moe's always had two locations: the smaller one at Packard and State that just closed, and the main store on North University.
I remember a time when Moe's used to have a heat transfer press right there in the middle of the main store. My parents had custom jersey t-shirts made for me when I was a little kid, and they pressed the numbers right onto the shirts right there in the store. Place was a wonderland of Michigan lore.
Got it for Christmas in the mid nineties. The thing feels like a silk snuggie and I keep it locked away. The key is getting the Russell Athletic version because the Fab Fivers didn't wear Nike until there were only four left. My little brother got the blue Jimmy King 24.
Before Adidas took over a couple of years ago, Nike was still making the shirts. I was new on campus and saw a navy blue shirt with an oversized, off-center block M on the front of the shirt (taking up nearly the entire shirt). Apparently Nike made the shirt, but I have been unable to find it anywhere (online, etc.). Anyone happen to know which shirt I'm talking about? Help me find a place to buy it and you'll get a finder's fee :)
...In Port Huron at Dunhams in the Birchwood Mall and in Sault Ste. Marie at the Dunhams off three mile road. I thought the giant block M was centred, however, and noticed that these same shirts were available as grey nike sweatshirts as well...
I didn't pick one up (not really my thing) but noticed a few randomly beside the new adidas material in both stores discounted significantly.
Braylon (2004 white)
Harbaugh (1985 Home)
Woodson (1997 white)
Brady (orange bowl)
Desmond (1991 home)
and a Nike Rose Bowl white jersey
As someone already mentioned, I would like one of the blue rose bowl jerseys with the big roses on the shoulders.
that closet is an embarrassment of riches. nicely haberdashered sir.
long-sleeve, heavyweight '98. With or without Purple Hearts.
Russell Shaw.
1931 jersey? Notice the crotch hammock.....
