The Pistons seem to be interviewing a ton of people, so hopefully this is just that.

I'm a huge Pistons fan, but I don't want John Beilein to ever leave Michigan.

he could actually go out and acquire players that best fit his system through the draft, trades or free agency.  currently, he has to battle for recruits, and often unexepectedly loses them early to the nba.

i think he and kerr have had several meetings and coach similar styles.  JB could be every bit as good as kerr.  who knows, maybe some of the piston players would actually get better under his watch.

but, by god, i hope he stays.

I hope he's talked to guys like newly committed Jalen Wilson and let em know he was just doing it for fun (Hopefully thats the reason) otherwise I could see this being a bit upsetting for them

Putting my UM fandom aside I have thought of Beileins offense in the NBA. I think his system would work extremely well in todays day and age

NOOOO!!!!  Don't go NBA John, that game sucks!!!  You OWN Ann Arbor, and would be just another unrecognizable schmo in pro sports!

Didn't Manuel just say he wanted Harbaugh and Beilein to retire as UM coaches? I think both will but a lot can happen before that.

I mean the Pistons are not the prettiest girl at the party but the job is close to home, they're a young team that doesn't really have a mold and the Eastern conference is... not great. Who knows how he'd translate to the NBA?
