But Harry did graduate from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, became an Apache helicopter gunner and deployed to Afghanistan two times. Not sure what he does on a day-to-day basis these days, but he seems a lot more "normal" than most of the other royals.
I have a friend in Canada who told me some of their tax dollars go to support the royal family. I assume that's true for the other commonwealths (Australia, Jamaica, etc). They literally do nothing of value. The most impressive "Royal" of my lifetime was Diana and she did all her philanthropic work after she divorced them.
I guarantee that whenever the Queen dies, there will be a lot of commonwealth nations that will cut their ties to the monarchy. Just Raback it.
