NFL Draft: Results and Player Stats
I've always been a big fan of the Pro-Football-Reference web site (Baseball-reference is also top notch.) I'm not a huge stats geek, but this site is great for looking up stats quickly, especially when it comes to draft picks/history. I thought I would share with the board since the draft kicks off tonight.

The Draft Finder is also fun to play around with. For example it easily lets you see which TE drafted in the last 10 years has the most receptions...it's Jimmy Graham.

Hope you enjoy the links. And good luck to your Pro teams tonight!!
I heard this 2012 draft tidbit today. Two QB Guru's in Holmgren and Elway drafted for their respective teams as follows: Brandon Weeden #22 overall to the Browns and Osweiler #57 overall to the Broncos. The next three QB taken in that draft were Russel Wilson at #75, Nick Foles at #88 and Kirk Cousins at #102.
The Draft Finder is a double-edged sword if you're a Lions fan, or at least I am discovering this as I play around with searching the historical picks of the Lions by round.
For example, I had nearly forgotten we took Charles Rogers 2nd overall in 2003......*turns around in office chair, stares at wall*
those second two the the very definition of great.
You're pretty picky, Q.
and I agree...really stings that Andre Johnson was taken right after him at #3. As a Lions fan I like to see who we just missed out on...but it also makes me a little sick. Mike Williams v. DeMarcus Ware...Ebron v. Donald...I'm going to stop before I throw up.
Maybe I should spend more time looking for the hits instead of the misses...but that's what Lions fans do.
I'm surprised you haven't sued.
you should mention that. This morning when I went to the break room to get some coffee I got to talking to one of the fellas and he asked me which tight end had the most receptions over the last ten years. I didn't know at the time so you can imagine my excitement at seeing your post! I ran down to his office to tell him the good news but he was gone for the day.
Maybe the OP is your co-worker.
Allen is obviously the worst. After that you could debate, but my order from worst to best is:
Allen
Darnold
Jackson
Rosen
Mayfield
Mayfield is a good QB, but the Browns had so many other holes to fill.
What are you talking about...QB is the BIGGEST hole and you can't win without one? Were you referencing Chubb, who iplays the same position as last years first overall pick or were you referencing Barkley who plays the same position as Hyde and Duke Johnson?
Oh look, two dumb picks in a row.
As a Giants fan, I agree... Eli is done, this team isn't close and by not picking a QB, it shows ownership still thinks that they are close which couldn't be further from the truth.
Both are the wrong picks. Great college players don't necessarily make great NFL players
Think they knew that Barkley was going #2 and #3 would be a QB, so they could have whoever at #4. Didn't really matter.
There are the Browns.
They have blown so many high draft picks in the last few years
